Weekly Progress Update [23/OCT]

Hey all, hope your week went well 💖

This week's progress report will be a short one since I don't have anything big to talk about at the moment. 

Remember that 20k wordcount goal by the end of each month? Yeah I don't think I'm gonna get past 12k in October 😂 Optimism aside though I did still manage to write pretty consistently every week even if the numbers are low, so I'm feeling good about CH10 releasing in the winter!

Chapter progress

Honestly, putting together the scenes for CH10 and planning them out was the greater challenge this month. There's so much planned for future chapters, so many subplots developing, that I'm having to pick which threads are prioritized and which ones have to wait for a while longer.

To give you an idea, here's the rough sketch up of the structure for CH10, excluding the planned LI POV scenes. Mind that there are minor spoilers here for some of the scenes you will see in CH10, but very briefly as bulletpoints, nothing important! Everything that's a plot essential spoiler has been blacked out lol

Altogether that's 9 scenes + the romanced LI POV scene, so 10 different scenes in CH10. As you can tell, it's going to be a pretty massive chapter. Less variance compared to CH9 as well, so there's a lot more scenes each player will go through per playthrough. I won't be surprised if I manage to crack 70k words with this one, though I'm going to do my very best to limit myself to 40k-50k. For the sake of my own sanity and health, and also so I don't keep you waiting forever lmao.

As far as what I've actually written so far on paper, I've been working on all the fun bits for the LI POV scenes and other fun Crown-development scenes in between! I'm taking the approach of writing all the tidbits I want to write first, and then go back later to stitch them all together haha.
