Weekly Progress Update [2/OCT]

Hey all, hope your week has gone well!!

Bit of a delay on posting the progress report as I realized last Wednesday I actually didn't have anything to report on, so I decided to just post it today. Thankfully, I do have a few more updates!

Chapter progress

I've refined some of the planned scenes for this chapter and finally started writing yesterday!! Not a lot of wordcount in yet, but for the month of October I'm aiming for 5k a week, and 20k by the end of the month. If I can keep that up for November and December as well, then I'll be able to post CH10 in January of 2023!

Take all this with a grain of salt, though; it's my initial writing goal rather than a projected estimate. We'll see where I end up by the end of October haha.

As for which scenes I've started with, you might be pleased to know that CH10 will feature LI POV scenes. I know a lot of people appreciated that bit of insight in CH5, and CH10 seems the perfect place to introduce more of that; the pacing is just right for it, especially with the timeskip.

The first POV switch I've started writing is one for D's route! I was inspired by an idea I had yesterday which made the scene much juicier than I had in mind initially hehe. I'll give you more hints about it once I'm finished writing it.

Speaking of, since X and D will be absent and their interactions with the Crown will be limited to letters, I just had a very fun time today figuring out their handwriting. This is what I've settled on!

Yes. X is entirely illegible, on purpose. While they are very well-read, they are not good with handwriting, to put it mildly. Don't worry, the letter will be properly translated in the story, and both letters will have the standard button to switch to regular font for readability!

But also, the contrast is hilarious.
