However, despite the majority of people claiming they read those, I have my doubts, so I'm making a separate post that I'm more sure people will actually read this. Bluntly put, I got utterly and completely overwhelmed, to the point of non-functional burnout for a few days. This caused work on Left Hand Magic to slow to a crawl, and even now I'm not exactly better, I'm just forcing the issue in order to get it done. It doesn't help that I got more bad news stacked on top of previous bad news over the last 24 hours, making working on anything pretty much mental agony. Of course, not working on anything also induces outright panic attacks, since I can watch all the shit I need to get done piling up. So, I'm sort of stuck in an in between hell where it's miserable to work on stuff, but even worse to not work on anything.
The net result is that I've only gotten about 90% of the way through programming and haven't even touched the writing stage yet. I am, frankly, expecting the release not to happen until at least the second. Possibly not until the 3rd or 4th. I'll try to keep everyone updated. Sorry folks, this crash has been months in coming and I'd hoped to hold it off until the game was done. As is, I'll get it done as soon as I can, then reassess from there.

If I wasn't so close, I probably would. The thing is that we're only maybe 2-3 updates from the game being DONE done, though. So I'm just trying to grind through to completion before probably taking a month off.

2025-06-30 18:28:17 +0000 UTCMan... do I ever know that feeling, but I am just trying to help dev's, not make everything from scratch 🙄. I almost hate to say this, but if it stops being fun, you should probably take a break and do what IS fun. I know, I would not listen to me either 😒.
