Progress Report

Alright! Just a quick progress report. The Left Hand Magic release is actually going well. Programming is already done, and I'm currently taking a short break to type this up before finishing up the writing for the fourth of the five new content days. Unless something goes wrong, I should finish the writing and editing both tonight, leaving just testing, credits, and publication for tomorrow. Honestly (again unless something goes wrong) this should be either an on time release, or an incredibly minor delay. As in, like, an hour or two past midnight if testing, conversion and uploads all take a particularly long time.

That's the good news! The slightly less awesome news is that I doubt I'll be able to get Contract Doll Part 2 out quite in time. Hopefully, it won't release later than the first or second of next month. I simply hit a bottleneck where too many projects were all demanding writing at the same time and, as is my standard policy, the Short Story is the first thing to get put off into a delay period if doing so will help everything else get done on time. This time, that was the case. Though I think the delay on Contract Doll will be pretty short, and I consider it a fair trade for getting Left Hand Magic out on time.

Honestly, despite the month being a bit hectic, I'm reasonably pleased with how it's wrapping up. I also should have (hopefully) significantly less extra time commitments in September, since the final (hopefully) bit of work on the whole dental nightmare that had spanned the last several months (and cost a crippling $12,000 -_-) is due to be finished on the 3rd. If life is kind and doesn't hit me with additional disasters (crosses fingers) than I'm hoping we'll have a slightly larger release to look forward to in September! As well as, hopefully, less stress on me...
