Alright! Keeping with my saying I'd try to make progress reports more regular, a progress report! Honestly, results are mixed...but not bad? Eh, we'll hit them one at a time.
Left Hand Magic
This is, thankfully, the most positive point. Almost all the rendering is done at this point. The second-to-last animation is rendering as a type this (and on 20 of 30 frames done already at that). So there's really only a single animation and a couple of random stills left to render. I fully expect to wrap up rendering tomorrow. Honestly, if other things weren't suffering as a result of catching this up fully, I'd probably try to sneak in at least a re-do of an old animation. As is, I'm just happy I got this fully on track.
Short Story
Technically, I have part of Contract Doll (Part 2) done. But only like the first thousand words. I tried to get started on it, but other writing projects that are frankly overdue ended up taking priority. I don't expect to have any trouble with actually writing this, I just need to pry the time free to work on it.
Mixed Media Short
The news here is a bit better. I've gotten all renders finished for the next entry of The Virtual Trap. I'm also hoping to sneak in enough time tonight to do the post-processing on them so that I can jump into writing for it as soon as possible. As writing time is currently my bottleneck for a bunch of different projects, though, I'm not quite sure exactly when I'll be able to concentrate on doing the writing bits.
Frankly, the writing for MMS rewards is usually super easy compared to most writing projects though, as I've already had to form up the entire plot in order to make the renders happen. As such, I'm not too worried about getting it done. It's just a matter of fitting it into the open spaces in my currently-somewhat-chaotic schedule. It's likely to be at least a little later in the month than my usual target, but probably not by too much unless something goes wrong...
-----------
And...there we have it really. Honestly, things are only a little up in the air because I haven't had as much focused writing time as usual. Normally, that's not a concern, but this month things keep getting in the way. So it's all a bit bottlenecked behind finding the time + focus to do the writing bits. I'm fairly sure I'll be able to get on top of it and release everything or almost everything on time. At worst, the Short Story might get pushed down in priority far enough to be put at risk of a delay. Always, of course, with the caveat that 'unless something horrible or unexpected happens that fucks everything up!'
