I live! And, er, sorry about being silent longer than usual! A couple of the things I knew were going to impact my productivity this month have happened in the last week, so I've had my nose to the grindstone as much as possible rather than checking in as often as I should have. That said, progress overall hasn't been too bad. Not quite what I could have wanted, but not too bad. Let's take a look!
Left Hand Magic
All three of the remaining days for the Trix/Revina Threesome Route have their renders and animations already finished. I'm actively working on Day 1 for Week 6 of the Arianna/Talia Route, with some hope of wrapping it up tonight. That will give me a comfortable amount of time to handle Day 2 of that route, which is all I claimed I'd be able to get done this month. That's looking like a fairly accurate assessment. It will still give us a 9 animation build, which has been pretty much the average for the year so far. As such, if I can pull it off without any delays, I'll be happy with the build. Even if I'd really like to get a couple of bigger ones out yet this year.
Short Story
I'm afraid this hasn't gone beyond the outline yet. Though it's actually on my schedule to start hammering on it tonight, hopefully.
The Virtual Trap (Part 9)
This is where I haven't quite gotten as far as I'd wanted to so far. Currently, I only have ten renders done for it. Though there should be at least two more done by the end of the day. Hopefully three, actually. Normally, I'd be almost wrapped up on the rendering for this by now, but I've had some delays caused by a visiting relative and some more medical appointments. This is the thing that I had to sacrifice a bit of progress on to keep on top of Left Hand Magic.
That said, I don't think it will be out much later than usual. It might be slightly on the smaller side, though strangely enough that actually doesn't have anything to do with the delays. It just happened that the chunk of story I wanted to tell this time needs fewer renders. Which...works out? I guess? Eh, it won't be that much shorter than usual. Possibly 18 renders instead of the usual 20 or so I aim for, and likely about the same word count. That happens from time to time when I can't launch into another bit of story without massively extending the number of renders, which is what is going on in this case. The logical place to end it is simply a little shy of the normal length.
