Sitrep for October

Holy shit, I'm awake during the day. The end of the world might be around the corner?! 

*cough*

Aside from that. I wanted to briefly go over the plans for the month. I'll be putting up the polls later today, but those are already long enough that I'd rather not clutter them up farther with my ramblings. And the focus of those ramblings is actually directly related to the polls!

Specifically, that there are only going to be two polls this month. The Short Story Poll and the Mixed Media Short polls will be up later today, and will run the same as they always do. The Focus poll, however, is going to be a causality this month. 

The reason for that has nothing to do with me not valuing input...and everything to do with the fact that certain content just flat out needs to happen next in Left Hand Magic. This month's build for said game is going to focused on hammering out the next set of Weekend Event content. And it's a pretty major event set for the plot, being like the first weekend where there is a problem (well, less a problem and more the results of the Week 3 events) and a unique result available for each girl. This is, in fact, the point at which the differing routes will really start to diverge, story wise.

It also means that we have four larger-than-normal scenes right up front. Except...it actually means SIX not four, since this time I'll be offering solutions unique to each Threesome Route as well. Yes, those routes are intended to be full blown routes all on their own, not just extra content for other routes! They'll have their stories and endings :-). Regardless, all of that means we have a minimum of six scenes with dual-stage animation that need to be done. Plus some more involved/complex still render sets as well.

I'm already planning to toss in at least one (possibly two) unique masturbation scene(s) that I'll be adding to the game as something that can be done during weekdays (if you unlock the specific piece of equipment, a theme I'm intending to continue, with unlocking masturbation scenes based on what you do story wise in the game), and we're up to at least 7 scenes. Six of them extra long ones. That doesn't leave a ton of room for more. It's entirely possible that I'll be able to do another scene or two beyond those 7-8. But, if I have time to do more, I expect it to be a case of needing to cherry pick easy scenes to add, rather than being able to do content for specific characters or what not. This means that there's simply no room, this time, to take input from a poll :-(. This isn't going to be the normal case. But given the slightly more linear nature of Left Hand Magic, it is likely to happen from time to time. 

Okay, so that was the major thing to cover. Otherwise, this is intended to be a pretty normal month. I've already gotten one of two Wallpapers done, as well as the first animation for that extra masturbation scene I mentioned. (It was an easy one to start off with while I was still recovering from the crunch that happened with Haven's Port). I've got the second animation for that scene rending as I type and will be spending a good chunk of the rest of the day expanding my general outline for what needs to be done this month. Then, starting tomorrow, I'll be diving right into the deep end.
