Doctor Who 8x12 Death in Heaven

I didn't go into this series finale with too many nerves about losing our Doctor, I thought we might be pretty safe as it's just been two series so far - it's any further on from now that I am going to be concerned. I DO NOT KNOW when Peter's run is over, so please do not mention it! I prefer to be surprised, and devastated at the same time 🫠
A pretty sad episode, though I will say that I don't think there are too many people who are fans of Danny Pink. I like him, and think he is good for Clara, though I do think I'm in the minority with that one. He has a few positive qualities, such as his patience and forgiveness and I think this episode highlights his selflessness very well.
Missy was a hoot, though she's incredibly unstable and dangerous. Someone you cannot trust at all, but she does actually seem to like the Doctor? It's an odd relationship, that's for sure.

I loved the Santa Claus bit at the end. I was so emotional after the episode, and then we had this completely ludicrous scene with Santa of all people turning up and offering to try to help! Santa being on the case really was just what I needed to feel a bit better. :D

2025-08-16 23:04:05 +0000 UTCI never really disliked Danny Pink as a character, I just didn't care about him at all. It's as if the writers didn't seem to know what to do with him. After his introduction he was just there.

2025-08-14 08:12:12 +0000 UTCI haven't been able to watch this or the last one because Doctor Who 2005 has been taken off Stan. Not sure when I'll be able to watch them which is a shame because I was looking forward to these two episodes the most lol. Hopefully we find out where Doctor Who 2005 will be streamed in Australia soon. I heard the BBC are in talks with Netflix, but it's also possible that Disney+ will get them. Either way, me watching these will need to wait a while. Guess it's something to look forward to whenever they make a decision 😊
