Doctor Who 7x0 The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe CLEAN

Are we ready for another Christmas episode? Why are they always tearjerkers 🀣

I genuinely enjoyed this one. It was SO whimsical and playful, and I adored what the Doctor did to the house. He did all that himself? Honestly, it's so magical!

Doctor: I know 😏

A perfect ending, too. It's all just so humany-wumany πŸ’œ

It's odd for me to critique this show about some things, as it's about a mad as a box of frogs time traveller with a spaciously interdimensional motor. You'd think it'd be the leia like space souring, nope unbelievably not. The part that iched my noggin, was the idea that considerable time jumps are significantly harder to by with children. Particularly when ageing is demonstratively apparent compared to adults. But I'm always prepared to suspend disbelief in preparation for a sentimental seasonal special. πŸ˜†

It's wonderful that you enjoyed this so much as otherwise I think this one is considered to be one of the weakest Christmas special. It does have its moments though and I'm not surprised it drove you to tears, both sad and happy. I was particularly looking forward to seeing your reaction to Amy and Rory at the end, as you probably weren't expecting that even if the way last season ended suggested that we weren't done with them yet. Amy said it had been two years and given they were already living their lives before being invited to Utah at the start of last series it's interesting that they're companions for whom he dips in and out of their lives rather than being with him the whole time.

Alice Summers

Reg Arwell (Madge's husband) is the same actor (Alexander Armstrong) who did the voice for Mr Smith (Sarah Jane's computer in the wall) that was mainly in her show but also shown in Stolen Earth/Journeys End.

This deserves so much more than neutral! It was whimsical and charming and an utter delight. Plus the moment with Amy, Rory and the Doctor at the end is one of my very favourites with them! Lots to love about this one πŸ’œ

I'm so happy you enjoyed this one! Everytime I go through episode ranking videos this special gets a neutral reception at most and that makes me sad because this is my favorite Christmas Special!!!

This episode is wonderful, but I've never liked the story about how the couple met. It was just too creepy for my liking lol. Amazing reaction as always 😊 Not sure if you're interested, but there's a comic relief skit from the Catherine Tate show that would have been good to watch after you finished season four with David Tennant. I recently remembered it. Here's the link if you want to watch it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxB1gB6K-2A

It was SUCH a beautiful moment, Neil 😭😭

When the Doctor sheds a happy tear, we all shed a happy tear!

Hi Julie In my opinion one of the best of the Christmas specials. You are right about the references to The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. I am Not going to say what they are, What I am go to recommend is that you watch The Lion etc, and you will be able to spot the them yourself.

I remember sobbing my heart out when I first saw this episode (and the previous ones), because it makes you realise that the Doctor on a deeper level, really doesn't think people would miss him and that him being dead/out of their lives would be much better for them. I LOVED the ending for him honestly. It was one of those times where I would have loved a mini-sode of them having Christmas Dinner!

DarkStar 57

I didn't know about it until someone mentioned last week, so I was too late to see it before 7x01 😭

Awww haha 🀣 secret time lord revealed?!

I love this episode with all my hearts πŸ’• πŸ’•
