THIS might be my favourite episode yet. OH! It was beautifully emotional. Amazing. Epic. Heartbreaking. Clever. Wonderful. I went through ALL the emotions in this one π€£
My goodness. It might be different from person to person, but I just adored this episode. So special (if that word is adequate) and such a privilege to witness the Doctor being human, even for just a short while.
Thank you all for sharing this moment with me π

2024-02-08 03:55:58 +0000 UTCAbout your thoughts on if he would leave Martha behind, I don't think so. He appreciates everything Martha does, especially over the last 4 episodes.. If she had accepted that offer to go with the Doctor, I think she would've joined Martha and the doctor in the TARDIS, not replace. Also yes this is a beloved episode, you are not alone, don't worry.

2024-02-08 02:22:25 +0000 UTCThe Doctor wanted to bring the Lady Pompadore(close enough?), but the gateway was wonky. He also let Rose bring bring along several guys. I'd imagine that The Doctor didn't see a conflict with having his friend and the girl his disguise was in love with traveling with him at the same time.

2024-02-08 00:15:12 +0000 UTCAdmittedly I don't re-watch these episodes because I didn't really like them after I first saw them years ago, but doing so now with your reaction has me wondering why. They're so good!

2024-02-07 23:26:49 +0000 UTCGreat reaction as always. This 2 parter is really good, it was the first time (in modern DW) that we saw the doctors actions having direct consequences, like what the nurse said if he didn't go that particular village then no one would've died Also next week's episode is considered by many (and me) to be the best Doctor who episode of all time, your in for a treat :)

2024-02-07 21:43:12 +0000 UTCThis episode, more than any other so far, demonstrates how truly alien - and terrifying - the Doctor can be. When it's revealed that he was fleeing the Family because he wanted to save them from his own wrath, everyone with a pulse got the shivers. The contrast between the Doctor and his human alter ego John Smith was a masterpiece of subtle acting skill on David Tennant's part. There is a reason this two-part episode is a fan favorite. SPOILER: The next episode will blow your mind, Juliette. Be prepared. :-)
