Doctor Who 3x0 The Runaway Bride | Full Reaction

I cannot believe we are in season/series 3 already?! Say it ain't so!

I like Donna. I seem to really like characters with flaws, people who are unapologetically human. Donna reminds me a little bit of Jackie, they are both flawed, but my goodness they are real. Donna took everything in her stride, especially given what happened to her on her wedding day. What a shocker!

I hope everyone is having a lovely week 💜 It's about a million degrees here and I'm not doing well 🤣

As for Donna's timeline and where it occurs in relation to everything else - yeah, time travel gets really weird. It is possible for versions of the Doctor to be in the same general area at the same time, all having different adventures. It is entirely possible that another Doctor is solving a mystery somewhere else in London at that very moment without ever meeting. It does cause a bit of brain stress and confusion. The solution: relax and have a cup of tea. It'll work itself out.

This is one of my favourite episodes too! I recommend you also watch this short clip, which contains no spoilers: David Tennant is Catherine Tate's new English teacher in a sketch performed for Comic Relief 2007. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxB1gB6K-2A

This is some of the best of DW writing. The way some small throwaway line turns out to be so much more important than it seemed at the time and upon rewatching these you see how those little breadcrumbs flow into the overarching story. There are some truly fantastic episodes to come and I'm fervently hoping you'll spot the clues. Brilliant reaction as always Jules, can't wait for next week.

Russel T Davies really intends for the Christmas specials to be something the family can watch together on Christmas day, even if not everyone watching is a Doctor Who fan. He gives enough of the ongoing storyline (in this case the loss of Rose), but not so much that you'd be lost watching it. He also likes to try and whip out big stars for the specials. Catherine Tate was a pretty solid household name back in December 2006. She had her own, very popular comedy sketch show so she was considered a big name by British standards. Great reaction, looking forward to series 3.

One of the best traits of DW is how the writers can create a weird, wild, absolutely bonkers scenario - and still make it work out logically. Plus, Catherine Tate is quite the comedic treat! Now that we're past the Christmas special, I have to dig out Season 3. Closet, here I come! (I swear it's bigger on the inside.)

Absolutely love S3. So literally cannot wait to rewatch. Exciting times ahead

Lots of fun, and Merry Christmas Special! I really enjoyed Catherine Tate and David Tenant bouncing off each other with their energy and comedic timing. :-) The dark doctor moments you talked about remind me a lot of the early days of Chris Eccleston, fresh and raw after the time war and before his “Everybody Lives!” moment when he started to see that things can sometimes go right again. Regarding last Christmas I think she said something like she was hung over at the time, so that would be why she missed the mayhem that day.

I wasn't sure about her at first, but if I were her, I reckon I'd be yelling and pretty upset too 🤣 She's awesome and I bet we will see her again!

I think this has to be my favourite Christmas Special, Donna is a great Character and you are right she really does feel real. I won't lie though, she went through an absolute rollercoaster in this episode. Series 3/4 are my favourite series' of Doctor Who, you are in for an absolute treat.
