I enjoyed this one, though it did pain me slightly to see Buffy and Angel in each others arms again, albeit briefly. I didn't get as much pleasure as I thought I would out of it, most likely because of the mixed feelings I've had for Angel/us. It was more painful than it was pleasurable, though I sort of feel this episode serves as a nice goodbye to them and their relationship π

It's a little concerning when so many of the students look like they are in their 20's or early 30's π€£ I feel bad for the poor janitor, too! I get why the boys spirit wanted closure, but way too many people were hurt in the process π

Look at the title of it π but when you watch it, you realise you should never judge a tv show by its name. I haven't watched a lot of TV series.... But this? This is magical. Utter magic π»

2023-06-20 06:31:39 +0000 UTCI love how the music in the Bronze (Charge by Splendid) illuminated the sadness Buffy is feeling. The music throughout the episode was great. Sarah's acting was amazing as well. Buffy couldn't understand why the teacher would forgive James because Buffy can't forgive herself for what happened. The teacher, Grace, forgave James because she felt she was also to blame. She made James think she no longer loved him when it wasn't true. But in reality James wasn't the one who was to blame, Grace was. If James was the same age as Buffy he was 17. The teacher should have never been in a romantic relationship with a student at all. Someone who is in position of authority with James. He couldn't let go of a relationship he should never have been in to begin with.

2023-06-19 23:59:30 +0000 UTCI really haven't watched season 2 a lot of late. The reactors I've been watching have been a bit ahead so I've not in the season 2 headspace. But this one is a favourite of mine. It is so amazing. Bit of side knowledge, Christopher Gorham who played James would very soon go on to be one of the stars of the ensemble cast of Popular, which would be one of the shows that the WB would be promoting alongside Buffy in the late 90s.
