And here we are with the final Poking Around page at its original tier.

Seems a bit cheap that I’d leave on a cliff-hanger, but feh… I wanted to end on a rather dramatic note, now we’re done with the confessional. I also wanted to flesh Albert out a bit more, in that he may be nice, but he’s just as human (well, humanoid) as the rest of us with thoughts and desires of his own safely tucked away. Life isn’t going to stop because self-serving revelations, am I right?

Anyway, I’m not going to spell out everything, so arrive at your own conclusions. Trust me; there was a much wordier version of this scenario that was cut down because this is a comic, not a novel.

The new arc will begin next month (or so I hope) so please look forward to it.

Through the Mire of My Mind: A title is a reference to Reflections by Diana Ross and the Supremes, something that I heard from a lengthy Vampire Diaries teardown video of all things.
Payette: Finally, (fictional) currency confirmation. The diminutive form of a Payette is a Cenz – there are 100 Cenzs in 1 Payette.
“All starting life over in a new world, point zero”: Reference to this entity.
“Don’t look back yesterday”: A lyric from this opening.
“Taxicab confessions and how they happen all the time”: A reference to both the once long-running American hidden-camera series, Taxicab Confessions, and the Japanese drama, Time Taxi.
Recovery Position: I don’t know if this will translate internationally. I recall the St. John’s Ambulance lot turning up at school to demonstrate this as part of PSHE (Physical, Social and Health Education).
