“Are You Lost, Little One?”
Added 2020-10-27 07:31:27 +0000 UTCSo the Egyptology bug briefly bit me after my watching Gods of Egypt and I really wanted to draw Anubis. This was originally going to be a Twitter doodle but I’ve goofed off enough and given out enough freebies. It’s time for me to return to form, producing exclusive art for you wonderful Patrons who have kept me afloat for so long.
Anyway, this Anubis isn’t based on the movie counterpart, but rather my own original take. He appears in Flora-Fauna-Fen SURVIVE though he started appearing like this, this year. Hurray for inconsistency.
Despite looking this fierce, he’s actually quite nice, though he gets tired of being confused for the god of the deceased when he simply judges them on their passage to the afterlife (or oblivion). He speaks slowly since it sounds as though he’s speaking from the bottom of a well. If he had a voice, he’d probably sound like this interpretation or Benedict Cumberbatch at his deepest timbre (ala Smaug).
