Will Smith Banned from the Academy for 10 Years - Thoughts and Reactions
Added 2022-04-09 01:00:00 +0000 UTCThe Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced today that Will Smith will be banned for 10 years. He can't attend any Academy events but it's still possible for him to be nominated and even win awards.

2022-04-13 06:42:52 +0000 UTC10 years seems over the top but I think it was done to compensate for the lack of legal action to satisfy the public. The court of public opinion has more effect , in my opinion. Having Security guards neat the stage seems appropriate now.
