They weren't scanning their face. Remember last season it showed each one has a chip implanted to identify them. It's how the cop was almost caught. They are probably just scanning for that chip, which has their identity/security clearances on it.

2025-01-21 20:51:51 +0000 UTCThis episode was so much fun! When In-Ho just casually walked up to Gi-Hun and was like "Help us! I voted to stay because of you", I was just screaming internally the whole time. That evil little man and his stupid mind games. Too bad he's charismatic and well spoken, I simply cannot hate him, despite the insidious way he's probing Gi-Hun. Also, I bought Gong-gi stones myself after this episode and ... it's not an easy game for someone with small hands! Kudos to everyone playing it when their lives depend on it, it's the hardest of the five for sure!
