2022-04-09 07:43:28 +0000 UTCSome other "facts" about the show that Jay might find interesting, Lucifer isn't just honest about being the Devil, but he never lies. (There's a couple lines where the writers maybe messed up, usually when he's making a joke or sarcasm but other than that he's the most honest person on the show ironically. :) ) Lucifer is all about temptation, but not specifically because he's trying to corrupt or steal souls away from God, but the main purpose of Hell in this show is about dealing with your regrets and the things you torture yourself over. So the best way to avoid Hell, in this show is genuinely embracing life and exploring your desires (especially when it's not at someone else's expense) So his "superpower" of bringing out people's desires, Ironically, is one of the best ways to help people find themselves at the end of their life happy and ready to move on. Of course, Lucifer definitely has the desire to punish those who really hurt others as well, but don't we all, really? Though it was really fun watching it slowly winning him over even as he was hesitant to admit it, I'd really love to see him react to all the episodes as I know he'd be in tears for a good chunk of them... :) I really think the Lucifer fandom would be a good one to bring in.. MAYBE worth really digging into which episodes might be worth skipping (the treading water ones all sitcoms with that many episodes have) But this was one of my favorite shows of this type, Typically I can't stand plain cop dramas, but this one and Castle were great. :) Come to the dark side Jay.... You won't regret it. :)

2022-04-09 07:30:25 +0000 UTCOK, so I realize this has been a long-standing thing, but I never saw the origin story before today! All I have to say is - I hope somebody does a reaction to Jay & Adam's reaction to the Lucifer season 5 trailer, because that thing was pure entertainment liquid gold.

The fact that Dan is in an improv group in the show is icing on that cake lol ....2) no show has a good season 1, sure you're gonna have a couple cringy episodes or characters, but The show is about character progression and the more you watch the more you love it and to have all the storylines wrapped up and no cliffhangers at the series end is something truly satisfying. Give it a chance Jay and binge it! .....In fact I'll make you a deal, Lucifer style, I'll owe you a favor (within reason and within my power) and all you have to do is watch Season 2 Ep 5 & 6 ("the weaponizer" and "monster") you see the police work is just something to do every episode, the real beauty of this show happens outside the crime fighting ;)

Chloe is a criminally underwritten character for someone who's so important to the plot and several of the other characters just go through various personal dramas over and over again. It's a frickin procedural. There's not much to expect from it.
