Added 2021-04-07 18:53:39 +0000 UTCHey all! Sorry it's been a while! Here's what's going on with the development of SEUS PTGI.
I've been putting most of my development effort into getting E13's tech ready for a first release. It's been much more challenging than I thought it would be as I've gotten closer to finishing. Then, OptiFine started adding some really powerful new features for shaderpack developers that sort of render some of that work obsolete, but that's actually a good thing!
The recent new features that are being added to OptiFine are really game-changing. The box within I've had to try to fit SEUS PTGI has just gotten a lot bigger! It wouldn't be right to not take full advantage of these new features, and that essentially demands a full redesign of the rendering pipeline. I now have essentially double the available render texture memory to work with and the ability to write compute shaders, as well as other new features to take advantage of. It'll be a lot of work, but when it's done it'll be absolutely worth it. Many of the things that I've wanted to improve about SEUS PTGI are now possible! Some of the new possibilities are: farther view distance of ray tracing and longer rays, more sophisticated denoising filters, more accurate shading of blocks in reflections, vastly improved appearance of moving entities/mobs, potentially a version of HRR that has better performance gains than previously released versions for the same visual quality, and a lot more experimental ideas that I've had floating around in my head. Compute shaders also offer new optimization techniques that couldn't be used before.
I'll keep you all updated on how this process goes! Or, maybe I'll just surprise drop E13! You all know that I prefer surprising you with good news rather than trying to predict how this kind of experimental work will play out. This is why I tend to stay quiet until things are confirmed and done.
I never feel that I can thank you enough for your support and understanding. I know I can't make everyone perfectly happy with how things are going, I can't even do that for myself. I'm just so grateful for those who have joined me in this journey and for those who accept and are supportive of my creative process.

Awesome, waiting for e13. Hyped. But currently E12 overkills especially with good res pack that is around x128 or higher

2021-08-14 08:46:30 +0000 UTClol A_lby mccool straight up. plus this guy is a genius, get f'ed haters. code your own global illumination shader. see if the time you invest is worth 10/mo to you. @sonicether mad respect bro. i play minecraft for about 2 hours a month, and i stay subbed because i respect what you have achieved. usable, hardware agnostic ray tracing has only been pursued this seriously by two entities, and the other is crytek. you cant play their tech demo though, so that leaves PTGI. looking forward to 13, dont care when it comes out

There are small businesses that work hard on great games that would dream of making their salary, they work day and night and still manage to be very active on social networks to talk to their community. He could even hire someone for the "social network" part but no, it's just not normal, I would even say that it borders on non-respect... I receive hundreds of messages every day on YouTube, I regularly post updates I answer a lot of comments every day and I work full time in addition to having 2 big projects, a family and I don't even do the 1 / 4 of his salary.

I'm glad to make that trade, again and again, month after month, even if I know I could cancel the subscription and keep playing on with the version I already downloaded. I spend far more money than that on things that aren't nearly as valuable to me. Thank you for all of your hard work thus far. You deserve every penny, and I am super excited with what I got. Anything after that is icing on the cake.

2021-05-12 19:53:53 +0000 UTCJust started using E12 with Patrix 64x, it looks absolutely incredible! But I've noticed that there's a lot of blurring on the cogwheels in the Create mod, which isn't there when I've been using BSL Shaders. I've turned motion blur off but it hasn't helped. Any advice?

2021-04-25 21:53:53 +0000 UTCI recommend you to use two texture packs, umsoea and realism mats, which are best used together, but these two texture packs are very computer-intensive, so you need to choose the right pixel according to your computer configuration, personally recommend 512x

I keep getting a notice its outdated and some versions prevented my game from opening entirely Anyone have recommend any resource packs in general?

2021-04-12 22:04:42 +0000 UTCdownload optifine for the prefered version of Minecraft. Open the download to install it. When you open Minecraft, there should be a new profile/version called [MC version] optifine[version]. Then play that version. Once it loads up, go to options > video settings > shaders. There should be a button at the bottom that says "open shaders folder" or something. Click that and the new folder that was made by optifine should open and you and drag and drop the shaders into that folder.
