Just found out today that Epidemic Sound may not license music for adult games. Other AVNs have been using them too, and one of the biggest ones (Eternum) got officially informed. I found the clause in the terms of service preventing it, so I'm not sure what to do.
The most immediate issue is with Hopepunk City since it's scheduled for release on Steam on March 3. I originally switched to Epidemic Sound when I found out my Wow Sound music was in limbo. I re-licensed the Wow Sound stuff and I'm switching all the tracks back to what they were before.
Yeah I know, I like the big orchestral stuff in the theme. I can still use it in the trailer because the trailer is SFW, but not in the game itself.
Hopepunk City is now version 1.7 with the "old" music back, and I added a change when you start a new game. It will give you a content warning, then if you haven't created a character it will take you to that screen. The change: If you HAVE created a character, it will show you the character currently active and will ask you if you want to change it before you start. Just a convenience I should have added before.
The two other games this affects is Date Ariane 2 and Dating in a World on Fire which haven't been released publicly yet. I'll keep them "as is" for now, but I'm looking for alternative music sources just in case.
