Pic 79: Veronica at the Festival (and plans for September)

Last months SITAR update contained a fair amount of new material I spent most of the month working on. The nature of the update wove throughout the game, so I had to test the new material by playing through the old.

All the old pictures still in the game made me sad. I still have a lot of work to do in updating pictures.  It took me 6 months to completely update DAR, so it is going to take at least another 3 months to update SITAR, and that is my primary focus right now.

First up is the Veronica at the Sci-Fi/Fantasy festival, which are the pictures this week.

This is not to say there will only be re-renders and no new material in the next 3 months. Since I am updating the graphics in all the old paths, I also plan to find ways to make each path better and unique. 

In the original game the Bonnie and Veronica paths were designed to be comic book like. I'm toning that down on the Bonnie side, but decided to embrace it on the Veronica side.

Here is the new picture of Veronica driving up in the sports car.  I rendered it in a different way to allow pen outlines so it looks like a comic book drawing.  I use these comic book renders in every picture of the drive that is not in a first person perspective.  Also all the text is in this "joy ride" scene is in a comic book font.  

Everything returns to normal when you get to the festival, as you can see in the included pictures.

September Plan: Hopepunk City Update

As a secondary project, this month I also want to work on an update to Hopepunk City in time for it's one year anniversary in October.  No plans to change any of the story or graphics or anything, I want to update the game the same way I updated Ariane in Paradise back in June:

1. Add help walkthrough paths to use if you get stuck, or need help reaching hard achievements.  One path will be used to generate max friends points, there will be separate paths for all the careers, and paths to romance Rachel, Ariane, and become Maya's "F@#$ buddy".

2. Create a high resolution android version and update the low resolution version with the same help paths.

3. Update the Epilogue. The epilogue is supposed to use the hair style in DAR, but between making the epilogue and DAR Ariane's hairstyle changed, so at the very least I want to change the hair to DAR hair.  The epilogue is an online chat using random names of patrons. I plan to update the random name list to have all this months patrons included. This is for all levels of patrons. If you prefer your patron name not be included message me.
