Maybe even go a bit further, and explore reasons why a particular design might have failed to take hold - not necessarily things like "it just wasn't strong enough", but maybe from the perspective of "the technology didn't exist to make it viable", as an example. I've always been fascinated with forgotten tech or ideas, so this is right up my alley.

One aspect of tool and technology history that fascinates me is what were the drivers of innovation and ideas at design inflection points when we look back? A lot of research, restoration, and recreation opportunity around those questions!

2019-10-01 05:46:22 +0000 UTCVery nice. That wrench turned out better than I expected. It LOOKS a bit flimsy, but it isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Perhaps solid pieces inside the grips would strengthen further. I'm no expert, though. Thanks for this "resurrection".
