My laptop just died on me...
Added 2022-01-17 13:23:38 +0000 UTCI can't seem to access my drive D anymore which means all of the working files. I'm pretty nervous honestly, but I got some rough plan here:
1. Buy a new PC
2. By an external drive
3. Get my laptop fixed or the drive D fixed so I can move all files to the new PC.

2022-01-18 04:18:28 +0000 UTCGingko, if you can't get your laptop to work again you might be able to have someone take the hard drive out of your laptop and copy the data over to an external drive. So long as the hard drive is removable and it isn't like a Mac where everything is on one board it is possible. And if the drive itself is the problem there are ways to recover undamaged data and save at least some of your work. I've done the same with an old laptop a few years ago. But I suggest getting a professional to do it for you. Laptops are annoying to take apart, and you need a few special tools.
