So for a little extra context on Stark - he's only ever trained against absurdly strong opponents, like his "master" the greatest Warrior in their world, Eisen. And his first actual combat experience was solo killing a Solar Dragon in 30seconds flat. His view of what is an actual threat to him is off. He hears others say that these Demons are strong, and he thinks he can't fight them based on that. But in reality, he does not know how absurdly powerful he actually is compared to others in their world. The blow to his side at the end of his fight with Linie is literally blocked by him "catching" it by tensing up to receive the blow (like how a Boxer will tense his abs to receive stomach and body shots in a Boxing Match..) That's how strong he is. He's used to Eisen's strength which far surpasses Linie's and Linie is an Arch Demon, directly below Aura in power. She'd be stronger physically than the Solar Dragon.

Stark is a Warrior front-liner. In our world he'd be called a "tank". His job is to fix the enemy in position and focus their attacks on himself while the mages and other long-range troops attack from the back line. To that end he can take a lot of punishment, and deal equally powerful blows (to make sure the enemy can't just ignore him.) It's kinda funny how it takes him ages to finally realize he can just do that with Linie too - just tank her blow fixing her in position and immediately exchange it for a powerful attack. It was always so simple :D

The animation when Linie change from the axe - spear - knife throwing is just too fluid, in this chapter i re-confirmed that i love this show too!

This is when Stark became my favorite haha the coward only fighting defensively, because they're afraid, finding the resolve and realizing they have what it takes to succeed.

I think the point behind Stark getting cut up is that his body is just tougher as a warrior. Heβs a tank and his masters blows were stronger and actually did damage, while Linnies strikes were apparently less damaging on his body. Iβve just always thought it was βIβm a tankβ logic

I thought it was funny how Linie's attacks apparently had no weight behind them, but the axe was heavy enough to pierce deep into the ground by gravity alone. Stark's shoulder should have been hanging off his torso lol

The demon stated that even warriors have mana and I assume the implication is that despite not using it for magic it allows them to become stronger/tougher/faster through training than what would be possible in our world. It's a common trope anyhow for fantasy worlds to have something like that to allow warriors to still more or less compete with the powers of magic. So him surviving is probably a combination of Stark being insanely tough and strong as well as Linie not being nearly as strong as those she copies even if she can replicate the moves ^^
