Minute 32, get a himmel the hero plushie, he’ll save even a thousand year old elf

Kcosta

“Did that just happen?!?” … yea…

Minute 7, can confirm have watched over a dozen times and every time is good

Stark has no real frame of reference for how strong he is. He said he's never fought a monster, so all he's ever fought against was his incredibly powerful master.

I loved this series from episode 1 but this is the episode that really locked it in for me that what i was watching was truly something special. I love Stark so much he's the goodest boy there ever was!!!

Frieren the series seems to have a similar vibe to To Your Eternity, which is super sad, but it also shows time in a similar fashion

I watched the whole first season over 3 days and it really is special. There's so much subtlety in the intricate weaving of the storytelling and so much heart and beauty. I've only just finished watching it myself really, and I'm already jealous of you that you get to go on the journey for your first time. I hope you love it as much as I do. I found it very rewarding and uplifting and very profound. It's one of the best things I've ever seen in my many decades of life lol PS... the show does break your heart sometimes... but it puts it back together again better than ever.

This show certainly changed my life. I have an extended, but tight-knit family all over the country. My mom and to some extent my brother make sure to keep in contact with our many aunts, cousins and so on. When I was younger I too was always happy to see them or just talk to them, but then I moved to England, and over time my contact with the extended family sort of faded out. 11 years later, when the pandemic was on the horizon I got scared and decided to move back to my home country to be closer to my mom who is retired and a bit sickly, but I didn't have the guts to reach out to my extended family, because I felt like I'd betrayed them. Like it was my fault we lost contact, and to some degree it was, but I felt like I didn't deserve to reach out to them any more. And then I've watched Frieren, and I realized life is too short to worry about things like that. That all I needed to do was to meet them again, and whatever happens, happens. At least I wouldn't have any regrets. So I planned a couple of trips to see my cousins, and every time I arrived it's like we've never broke contact in the first place. After all these years we just embraced each other, sat down to a meal and talked for hours. We played board games, went to pubs, had fun, and every time I was leaving, we promised we'd visit each other again. So yeah, Frieren literally changed my life :)

In the scene where Himmel tells Frieren to attack him without hesitation, the author subtly reveals Frieren's feelings for him. The demon manipulates emotions by using the most significant person and memories in someone's life. For Fern, she saw her most cherished person, Heiter, reflecting her clear feelings for him. In contrast, Frieren is not entirely sure about her feelings for Himmel, though he clearly stands out as the most important person to her at that moment. The demon does not use a memory of Frieren's past with Himmel because she may not know which moment would be the most meaningful. Instead, it shows her Himmel's unwavering trust in her, a fact she realizes about him at the end of chapter three. This scene highlights Frieren's deepening realization of Himmel's significance, especially his trust in her judgment and ability to see through deception in this or other situations. Flexie, I hope you will be motivated to watch more episodes of Frieren each week; it would be awesome! I am excited to see your reactions to the upcoming chapters.

GardeninTool

Plushies of all of them

Himmel was so self sacrificing, and he wouldn't want to be used to hurt people. He'd rather be destroyed. Also Stark is one of my favorite characters in this show! I don't usually like the coward architype, but the author did it so well here.

PearseNation

Every episode is a tearjerker lol. You are right the music and sound mixing is phenomenal throughout and it really envokes emotions
