Extra: New Halfway Broken Stat Blocks!
Added 2025-07-03 00:27:55 +0000 UTCAlright, I'd hoped to have this done to put out with the chapters yesterday, but ran out of time. So...a day later, it's now an 'extra' ;-). It's been a fair while, in-story, since we've seen all the characters' stat blocks. In fact, we haven't seen anyone but Yamato's since Skypiea! They've had a couple of adventures and a serious training montage or two since then, so...updated stat blocks ahoy!
You'll note, of course, if you compare them to the post-Skypiea stats, that the lower the level they were the more they tended to grow. Law of diminishing returns, as it were. For Luffy or Yamato, it's hard to get another level of badass. For someone like Vivi, on the other hand, it's relatively easy as she has plenty of options in what to train to get stronger still available.

So, becoming a Master of a skill in the regular sense happens at 100. That's the cap that a normal person will struggle to reach after a lifetime. Any skill PAST 100 starts becoming the realm of legendary masters. While there isn't a true hard cap, practically the highest level skills in the world are likely sitting in the 170s. Those are people like Whitebeard and Garp. Just having a skill, any skill, over 100 already makes you exceptional. Hitting 150 likely makes you the best in the world...unless an existing monster like Garp or Whitebeard happens to share your skills. Note that this doesn't apply to stats, only skills. Stats can be pushed higher by pure will and training, along with Race or Devil Fruits. Yamato's stats, for example, are ridiculous because she's not human, her race giving her a massive baseline boost. But someone like Garp would still out muscle her. At the top level, things start getting verrrrryy blurry, since skills, stats, Haki, DFs, and more all start compounding to make it so the highest level fighters might not actually have the highest stats or skills. Creativity, tactics, and strategy aren't included within any skill, after all.

His leveling has slowed down greatly on the Grand Line, with the only reason he got a decent jump this time being the fight with Doffy, regular training with Yamato, and the fight with T-Bone all coming pretty fast back-to-back. As a result, he's a little reluctant to spend them, though will spend most of them before the big upcoming fight. He knows better than to hold off if they'll give him that little edge he might need.

2025-07-03 23:44:59 +0000 UTCHow high can someone's skills get? Originally I thought I saw you mention somewhere that skills cap at around 150, and if that's true then Chopper's medicine skill is getting real close to that. Also if only using swords are Luffy and Zoro equal, or is that skill also accounting for Luffy using an offhand weapon?
