Displaced Hero - Relationship Poll Round 3
Added 2025-05-04 10:44:04 +0000 UTCShoot! Sorry folks! Thanks to the two people that alerted me quickly that I'd entered Luxum twice. It's not possible to edit poll options once you post, so I deleted the original. Then, for some reason, Patreon wouldn't let me repost it for a bit. No idea what was up with that.
Warning! Not Safe for Work Artwork Ahead!
Alright folks! Happy 'Star Wars Day!' First thing is first, as I never actually announced the winner of the second round! I kept meaning too, since I closed it shortly after the May story poll, but it kept slipping down my priority list if things I needed to get done. Since today is 'Star Wars Day' though, I figured I might as well roll that announcement up into the last Relationship poll and post it! So, the winner was...
Shaak Ti!

She won with 35% of the total vote! Shockingly, the OC Sith character got the next highest score, so she'll be an option again here. The relationship now currently stands as Izuku/Aayla/Mei/Padmé/Sabé/Shaak Ti/?. Now, on to the new round!

Relationship Poll Round 3!
----------------------------------------
Alright! This is the third and final round, and there have been a few adjustments to the options. Obviously, Shaak Ti is no longer here, but I also removed Riyo Chuchi. She didn't perform well and, to be honest, I will a little reluctant to add her since she fills almost exactly the same niche as Padmé, in a lot of ways. There have been two additions as well, though. One was a passing thought I'd almost forgotten about the idea of, until she showed up again in the last release. The other is, well, Asora. So...options!
1)Add a Sith (Species) - Back due to popular demand! This one is still a bit 'nebulous,' since it would be an OC. A Pureblood Sith (or hybrid) that is a slightly more 'grey' character. NOT an outright Dark Side user, but a character that rides the line, or overcame a past as a Dark Sider. There are a few ways I could introduce a Sith Species character that would make sense, and it would certainly stir some chaos. Particularly if they are out-of-time like Celeste or Ood Bnar and grew up when the Sith Empire (the SWTOR version most likely) was still a thing. Note: This option would be subject to additional polls to determine more about her origin. (Art Source 1 | Could Not Confirm Art Source 2!)
2) Light Side Asajj Ventress - The pale former Dathomiri, raised by Ky Narec and recently taken by Shaak Ti as a Padawan to finish her training after her former Master's death. Also currently traveling aboard the Knight Errant, this AU version of Asajj in Displaced Hero has not yet touched the Dark Side...but that just means she's a bit more chaotic since she's still open to dealing with problems by means others than brutal murder! And hey, she even still has her hair! Hmm, I wonder if she'd look cute as a hot goth girl? (Art Source: I think they are both Duchess Eugene)

3) Luxum - The Iron Knight. This is the one I can't believe I forgot the thought behind! When I originally introduced her, it was with the passing thought that I could possibly experiment with her deciding she wanted a Human Replica Droid body to better interact with/explore the world. These exist within Star Wars Legends, with one example being Guri. There is also, apparently, a currently canon example in White. Though I'm unfamiliar with the character.
For this character, we just have placeholder art, but to give you a general idea, I'm considering a palette-altered version of either EDI (Mass Effect) or Demi (Subverse) as the starting place for Luxum if she gets an HRD. I think the look would fit in pretty well with an Iron Knight who decided they wanted to be a bit more 'anatomically correct.' (Art 1 - AI Generation | Art Source 2)
4) Asora Tuzm! I admit, I didn't put much thought into Asora when I created her, but she's certainly turned into a fun character. One who I've used to break up some of the more boring political bits, and who's gained a bit of a life of her own. She's also already developed a bit of teasing relationship with Izuku. While Izuku won't pull the trigger, one of the other girls might just call her bluff and end up drawing her into a far more intimate relationship with her boss! (Art Source 1 | Art Source 2(Probable))
5) No More Girls! We're satisfied with what there is...and Aayla is getting jealous of all the competition, despite liking a bit of a taste herself! (Art Source)
-----------------------------------------
Those are the options folks! Get your votes in! I'll be letting this one play out until the next Displaced Hero release later in the month.

2025-05-05 14:04:52 +0000 UTCYeah, honestly kinda regret making Sabé a freebie *sweatdrop*. Oh well, at least this happened in a setting where it's easy to manage.

2025-05-04 22:47:56 +0000 UTCYeah, I added Asora here since the Sabe/Asora original plan failed. They would absolutely feed off each other. I probably wouldn't add the Sith character independently. I've already got enough OCs floating through the story that I'm reluctant to add more, particularly one that would be such a major element. But multiple people suggested the idea of someone like it when I asked if anyone had ideas for the pairing beyond Shaak and Ventress. I admit to being thoroughly surprised how popular the idea seems to be, consider how little I've even locked down about them. This Ventress is a little young for Obi-wan. He's already 32 to her 19 at this point. I honestly suspect that the weirdness with her canon age not at all fitting her backstory, maturity level, or appearance, is the result of the Clone War cartoon series realizing the flirting would be creepy if she wasn't older. Ventress/Anakin could at least theoretically happen. Eh, the 'being more human' thing is something I'm already exploring in Confused Pokemon Adventure with 2B. Luxum isn't a droid. Remember, the Iron Knights are NOT droids. They are a species of sentient living crystal called Shards. Silicon-based lifeforms. The Droids are basically just mobility assistance devices for a species that isn't natively mobile. They are Alien rather than Robotic/Digital.

2025-05-04 22:47:00 +0000 UTCThe relationship size is getting into the realm of absurdity. But all of these options are SO good. I’m gonna vote for the sith girl for now because she’s giving me Karlach vibes. Might change my mind later though. I want four more cakes and the eat them too 🥲

2025-05-04 14:42:29 +0000 UTCI honestly expected myself to end up voting "no more" but then you had to go and bring out the really interesting options and a favorite side character. They're all four really intriguing possibilities, but I really want to see Sabé and Asora amping one another up. Asora has just simply become a favorite side character, and I really want to see more of her, and her interacting with (and teasing) all the harem members. Plus, for the Sith Species I kinda just want them as a character in general for the story more than as a relationship. I want the chaos having them around would cause more than I am interested in a complete unknown being added to the harem (and I wonder how many votes are for her for similar reasons of simply wanting that character to exist, and how many actually want the relationship?) No idea if/how it could happen, but I have to admit that I am actually more curious to see how you'd set up/write a (background) ventress/anakin or Ventress/Obi-wan relationship. The banter was there and she could actually prove to be a challenge to either one of them. Luxum is an interesting idea, but not especially my thing for this situation. If you're wanting to explore the HRD/being more human route then that feels to me like something for a different story where that character could be a main/primary viewpoint with at least a significant sub-plot of exploring "what does being 'human' mean?" This story already seems to have enough going on as it is that really exploring that aspect/building up her character would get kind of lost in the mix, or that focusing on it would take away from Izuku's Heroism/Anti-slavery drive and Aayla's "build a new force/jedi faction" drive and the counter plot of the Sith and/or current jedi order.

2025-05-04 14:37:59 +0000 UTCLuck, mostly. I hadn't left the vicinity of my computer when Aojae and Memory Dump both commented about the problem. So I was able to return to it quickly. It took several tries to get the site to accept it again, though -_-.

2025-05-04 11:36:22 +0000 UTCI know the feeling :-p. Honestly, this multi-ship is pushing it. If it were almost ANY other setting, I would have cut it off with the last one. Star Wars is large enough that I can split the characters up and only deal with them in subsets, with at least a few of the pairing having 100% legitimate reasons to be off doing other things. Which is the only reason I let the pairing get this size.

2025-05-04 11:34:39 +0000 UTCJust glancing at the size of the harem makes my knee jerk reaction 'no more' yet at the same time I like Asora and Luxum more than Shaak Ti. I really wish the first vote had gone for the Asora/Sabe ship. *Sigh* Anyway, I'm going to vote for Luxum this time, which seems like it would be interesting.

2025-05-04 11:05:29 +0000 UTCDamn your fast Novus! I was JUST about to comment about Luxum being put down twice myself when this post suddenly vanished! Anyway-! ASORA! YES! Time for Izuku, and others, to have some fun with this hot bunny secretary! …Hopefully.
