Added 2020-03-04 21:08:40 +0000 UTCAlrighty, here's the links for the Pre-TLC Chapter 2. Didn't see as many bugs as I thought I would, but they're there. From what I've seen, nothing game breaking, although whenever Wing Wu loses in the combat mode, it seems to crash. Also, if you lose on the Wu Path, there's an overlay issue. Simply go back into a Fight and it should go away. With this post starts our TLC. With the release of the final version of Chapter 2 ends the TLC and we will be back on schedule. I'm thinking we'll release multiple downloads (1.0, 1.3, etc.) along the way because these wait times are a pain in the ass.

Started this project almost immediately after I got out of high school, so I had no experience in game development (aside from a college course my high school let me take), digital art, story development, or general resource knowledge for things like Royalty-Free audio. It's definitely been quite an eye-opener, but on the bright side of things, my desire to make this thing has only increased with everything planned. And thank you for understanding. I don't blame anyone for thinking of me as "lazy" or "making excuses" because there are definitely a handful of opportunities that I missed which I easily could've taken. But 2021 was no joke. Haha. Regardless, all we can really do is look past that I suppose. We got 3 new pics, all with at least 3 different versions. So I like to think we're back on the path of productivity. ^^

But I'm not going to beat around the bush, so I'll try to answer as straightforward as I can. Long story short, Chapter 3 is essentially not going to happen. It is, but it isn't. And what I mean by that is: These past two years have pretty much been used to re-plan and redo everything. And I mean EVERYTHING. Story, art, code, and future features all basically got reconfigured. So the Kung Fu XXX of 2020 is more or less dead. The new version (post-TLC) is gaining a different system of posting. Now, each teacher is divided into Parts, with each Part getting 5 Chapters (all of which have more content than Chapter 1 and 2 of pre-TLC KFXXX combined). So to lay it out, it goes: 1. Introduction 2. Tutorial (This is what I'm currently working on, but 2021 kicked my ass all year) 3. Part I: -Chapter 1 -Chapter 2 -Chapter 3 -Chapter 4 -Chapter 5 4. Part II: -Chapter 1 -Chapter 2 -Chapter 3 -Chapter 4 -Chapter 5 5. Part III: -Chapter 1 -Chapter 2 -Chapter 3 -Chapter 4 -Chapter 5 6. Conclusion 7. Epilogue I'll probably explain it a bit better when I get an opportunity to make a Dev Update video, since it's a lot easier to get points across through vocalization rather than text. But all I can really say is that Chapter 3 is an odd topic. There are some pros and cons to how things are being done now, but in the end, it all kinda came down to the quality that I wanted for this project. The art style and my coding efficiency progressed so much in the bit of time that has come and past, so building onto the unstable structure that was KFXXX 2020 would've been a recipe for disaster. I hope that news isn't too bad to hear, especially 2 years later. Regardless, I appreciate you asking. :D
