Yesss, the album is extra special cause they added pre debut trainees too! Mingyu got a pledis reunion on his credits, Samuel it's the little kid who trained with them for so many years, and Shanon is one of the pledis trainees girls, the one who always made covers with him, she later debut on Pristin, but that gg dissolved a few months later, but she's still really close to the members, it's not the first time participating on their songs🥰🥰

2025-05-30 16:05:41 +0000 UTCthunder's music genre is very 2nd/3rd gen especially 2nd gen kpop. many kpop fans of that era were surprised by thunder's song genre because it brought back real kpop songs, so cacthy⚡️ their solo songs really describe them, and you're especially surprised at wonwoo's song. that's right, during his trainee days, wonwoo was actually in the vocal unit and he's ballad lovers😄 before you watch nana bnb, please watch seventeen burst stage yesterday. it was really fun🤗🎉

Its just he just wanted to have his hair buzzcut. Lmao i still remember him revealing his haircut first in our country on their asia tour. Green themed vibe(?) For this comeback? I saw someone posted in x app that they chose green bc their birth color (debut date) was Emerald/Green. Uhm kinda make sense. Solo songs. Their individual song suit them this comeback but their are more solo songs from them that are very different compare to this one that you'll get shocked. + Wonwoo really liked singing ballads. (Hope we could watch some of their solo songs in the future) Thank u so much for reacting to the new album. I always thought you'll react to Face the sun album first 😆🤗

These are mostly the genres they like but also some tried a different path than they usually do. Also jun won't enlist (along with the8, joshua, and scoups. Jun and The8 are chinese members and joshua is american and has an american citizenship hence they wont enlist for the military. For scoups, he was exempted bc of his injury, military gave him a grade 5). Personally, HBD is my top song bc of their vocals and i like the hype. For solos, its jungle bc i love the line about 3rd gen still thriving after 10 years (its not even just svt but whole of 3rd gen is so good) plus i love when scoups diss haters and show love for fans 🫢🫢 ANYWAY, CANT WAIT FOR NANA BNB NEXT WEEK 🥳🥳🥳

2025-05-29 13:53:00 +0000 UTCWoozi's solo "Destiny" is a lovely gift from his dear hyungs and partners in music, Bumzu and Park Kitae. Bumzu said they tried their best to tell Woozi's story through that song. They were talking about his parents in the first line, saying that it's through his parents that Woozi learned to love first. Then the lyrics 'i thought i was alone until i looked and we're together' is about being with the members. Woozi is an only child but he lived half of his life now with a lot of brothers🥹 And the pain and hurt were about everything he's been through in this career and life in general.

In my case I am the kind who listens to a song on repeat but this album has broken me and I cant choose cuz they all so good! Loved it! Btw, we have performance for Thunder and HBD from their free Jamsu Bridge festival performance. This was done a day before the album release, so we all were treated to these songs beforehand haha! As for all members having a solo track, this is the first album. Though as far as I can remember, Woozi has had a solo track named Simple in the Love&Letter album. And Jeonghan (Beautiful Monster) and Wonwoo (Leftover) have had solo tracks in their unit album, This Man. Btw, Wonwoo's Leftover is a full-on Ballad, and we got a live for this in Caratland 2025 before his enlistment! So Wonu's cutsie song was a shocker for me cuz I know him as Rapper Wonu or Ballader Wonu haha. They recently spoke more about the album and song in the WaggleWaggle episode for their 10th anniversary and NanaBNB, so maybe you can check that out post NanaBNB. Also, usually seventeen albums have a few ot13 songs and a unit song each. But their full albums have unique pairings outside the general 3 units. Even Woozi's solo Simple is from their 1st full album. And their 4th full album, Face the Sun, had all OT13 songs. HBD is their 5th full album btw. Oh, and every time they release a full album, they change their team rings. So we recently had a ring ceremony. This would be their 6th ring, as they started with a ring during their debut (I think).

2025-05-29 10:41:13 +0000 UTCalso about your comment about Jun’s song, actually in seventeen, 4 members are not going to do the military service ( s.coups is exempted for his injury, joshua is not going because he is an american citizen and the8 and jun are not going because they are chinese) so the other 9 members will come and go but these 4 will remain active and constant.

2025-05-29 10:16:22 +0000 UTCOn a side note, Jun and The8 will not enlist in the military because they are Chinese citizens, and Joshua won't too because he is technically an American citizen. Both Jeonghan and Wonwoo are doing alternate service due to medical conditions. SCoups was exempted by MMA because of his ACL injury (he was given grade 5). Rest members will enlist for active duty, with Woozi Hoshi enlisting after August this year, and speculation is DK will also enlist by this year end. Rest members are expected to enlist next year. While all of this makes us sad, it makes this album even more special as this is the last OT13 album for sometime. I just wish all enlisting members have a good time at miltary and come back safe, sound and healthy. Waiting for the day Seventeen is complete again. fighting!

I have been a casual kpop listener since 12 years familia it just felt very nostalgic to me!! Thunder is mainly produced by Woozi only familia, the credits mentioned only Bumzu but it’s wrong!! Woozi said he had the “inspiration come to him like a thunder bolt when he felt everything is over” and that’s one of the lyric too!! Can’t really trust those credits familia cause except his own song, and few other solos, woozi is the main producer and composer of all the songs! In their weverse live the other day hoshi said woozi apparently wanted to retire if this album didn’t do well but woozi is just too humble in my opinion!! They discussed whether to make HBD the title or Thunder but Coups apparently asked Bumzu (their producer) like “no can’t we do better?”😂 they said this in their “waggle waggle with na pd” Each member talked about their solos too..! loved Jun’s ideology and the way he described his solo!!! Even Mingyu’s solo “Shake it off” suits him so much, he said in waggle waggle how members and carats tease him cause he always had this image of sexy, hot idol and his popularity so he tried to just embrace it and flaunt it!!!! Samuel one of the trainees with seventeen helped write the lyrics with Mingyu, if you remember from the guide videos you asked who the kid was in the old videos like “was it Woozi?” it’s Samuel, now he is all grown up and is a Solo artist! so meaningful to have included him in the 10th anniversary!!! Vernon said he composed his song to comfort the modern day struggling youth! Woozi’s song was gifted to him by Bumzu and Parkgitae (their main producers) who have been with them for so long!!! The8 just challenges himself so much music wise like his single that was released few months ago too! he works with Vernon a lot and love their combo!! Coups “Jungle” lyrics were written entirely by him and it was refreshing to see him do a hard rap after so long!! Wonwoo’s song is so cute lol he is a rapper but has always been interested in singing.. miss him!!! DK used to introduce himself as “Happy virus” during their debut days familia so this song is just literally him🥺 Jeonghan’s song written by Woozi was to comfort carats missing him cause he is in the military! P dogg killed with Dino’s Trigger! that song has been on repeat for me!! They performed a free concert in Seoul Jamsu bridge on Han river for 10th anniversary you need to watch that!!!!

When it was first released, there were no lyrics available yet, so I just listened to it happily because it sounded bright and cheerful. But after reading the lyrics, I actually cried. It’s so comforting, and I can picture him smiling while singing it. The song itself feels like a ‘friend,’ and I’ve been listening to it every time I get home from a tiring day at work.

I’m absolutely fascinated by THE8’s musical style. He often works with Vernon on his solo tracks, and this duo is truly amazing when it comes to making music💪 Woozi’s song was actually a gift from BUMZU, his producer and mentor since pre-debut. He’s the one who taught Woozi how to compose. BUMZU has been a producer at Pledis even before SEVENTEEN existed, but when the group was forming, he got very close to them. In his own words, he said they were kids who were genuinely interested in creating music, so he helped them out. He’s been with the members for 14 years now. The other person who gifted this song is PARK KITAE, a well-known guitarist in Korea. He has a band that, aside from working with many Korean artists, has officially been part of TEAM SVT for almost 7 years now. Though I believe PARK KITAE has known the guys for even longer. BUMZU actually wrote a beautiful letter on Instagram for Woozi about this song🥹 About the military service topic—the members have already confirmed that they’ll be one of the few groups in the industry that won’t go on a full group military hiatus. The guys have planned out their enlistments in such a way that they’ll rotate and always leave at least 5 or 6 active members in SEVENTEEN until everyone is back💪 Even if they wanted to enlist all at once, there’s no way SEVENTEEN would go completely inactive, haha. THE8 and Jun are Chinese, so they’re not required to enlist. Joshua is 100% American and is in Korea on a work visa that he has to renew regularly. As for S.COUPS, he was exempted from military service due to his ACL injury (Uthman might be familiar with this injury since it’s common among football players). However, we know S.COUPS will be taking a short hiatus this year, as he himself confirmed—he needs to undergo a third ligament surgery on his knee😢. ACL is a very complicated condition, and it's one of the medical conditions that grants immediate exemption from military service, since there’s a high risk of re-injury and it would be too costly for the military’s medical system. That’s why Carats often panic when they see him dancing too much during concerts—he gets really into it, but it’s visibly painful for him. During the last tour, he overexerted himself and had to skip parts of the choreography😔 Vernon’s case is more complicated. His dad is Korean, and his mom is American. He was born in the U.S. but has lived in Korea since he was 3. There’s been a lot of talk among Carats about him giving up his U.S. citizenship for Korean citizenship, but in reality, Vernon has never said this himself. Personally, I think he still has dual citizenship, since fans have seen him travel with both his American and Korean passports at different times. In my opinion, even if he’s legally still American, he has said that he considers himself Korean and feels more connected to his Korean roots. So I think there’s about an 80% chance that he’ll enlist voluntarily🤷♀️. There’s actually a division in the Korean military called KATUSA, which is a U.S. Army base in Korea, and many Korean-Americans or dual citizens volunteer to serve there, (I have seen othe idols going there too). I think Vernon might go that route, although the laws for dual citizens in Korea are always changing, so it’s impossible to know for sure. That said—his recent haircut? That was just because he wanted to, hahaha! There are no current plans for enlistment. Vernon has said since debut that he always wanted to shave his head because he found it too annoying to style his hair every day, but the company kept saying no 😂 Now that they’re older and have more freedom, he finally made his dream come true—and he looks amazing!! 🔥 See you next week Familia!

I can't believe it either that this is your first album LMAO I actually love all the songs, but Trigger has been going platinum in my house 🫡 Also hope you guys get a chance to see the GOSE special for this era that just released! After watching: I definitely think that all the songs suited the members! Although some wanted to try out new things, it still sounded like something they would enjoy creating like Mingyu and Wonwoo's for example- Mingyu recently said he wanted to kind of embrace his "image" because it technically is a part of who he is and the club banger matches him well! As for Wonwoo, he has always enjoyed singing ballads, but he was also always such a bright person, so I think his song fit him perfectly!!
