In the last episode, the producers called out Taki and Daniel for their poor performances, but luckily for them, the global voters will choose the rankings this week and who will be eliminated. 😥
Plus we have some very special guests as Jun, Dino, The 8, and Hoshi will be joining us on the I land! 🙌

I heard PD Bang saying something different than what you heard. I think he felt a little bad for putting Taki on the show because he wasn't quite old enough or experienced enough to compete on that level. I felt like he was sort of apologizing to Taki; yet Taki learned a lot on the show, and did well considering his inexperience. He had a lot of natural charm which gained him global votes, but he needed more training and skill. But being on the show also gave him exposure which helped him become successful later. 💜

It was an amazing opportunity for him in I-land and he also showed us in the past weeks that he grew but the other I-landers were a bit stronger🥺 Taki needed some time and now he is in &Team😊

It just wasn’t his time and as you can see from other commentators that he did get to debut in &Team where he is thriving now. The emotional rollercoaster of I-land is tough lol almost to the end familia!

Jay, Sunoo, and Hanbin were my favorites and I voted for them but when I was worried about one in particular, I'd cut votes for Jay or Sunoo because I thought they'd be fine with producer or global support. You have to kind of play the game as a voter, too. I'm glad they showed that midpoint vote though so we could really comeback and rally for people like Jay.

A couple of episodes you guys mentioned Bang PD apparently saying a couple of guys were "useless" on stage but what he was actually saying was that everyone needs to have a role and those members hadn't figured out what their role was yet so they didn't have a purpose on the stage yet. This time, he wasn't being harsh with Ta-Ki, he was just saying that it wasn't his time. That Ta-Ki didn't do poorly, he just wasn't ready and Bang PD was almost apologizing for putting him on a global stage before he was ready to show a more polished talent. And Bang PD was right. Since Ta-Ki is eliminated now, I can tell you he went on to debut in &Team and he's doing amazing. He's almost unrecognizably good. But before I started following &Team, I was skeptical of how he'd do because of how he performed on I-Land. I had seen him at his worst (Fake Love) and wasn't sure that he could really pull it off. But he totally has. So I think that's what Bang PD was getting at. He wanted to give Ta-Ki a chance but he fears he set him up for failure and he hopes that Ta-Ki can take everything he's learned, forgive himself for the failures and keep pursuing his dream. Bang PD believed in him enough to put him in &Team so it all worked out in the end. Anyway, I just don't want you to get a bad impression of any of the producers because of translations. They're harsh. But they care about those boys. They are invested in their success and well-being. That's how BTS and TXT turned out to be such well-rounded, professional, hard-working, GOOD people. The future members of Enhypen and &Team on I-Land are getting that same support and push.

I did vote for them but also did vote for the “underdogs” you could say like taki, daniel, hanbin so I think few people don’t tend to vote for the top contestants cause they think they can easily get past with producers scores so the votes get piled up for the underdogs and also various countries are participating so they tend to vote for the member kind of representing them I guess which can cause the changes…!

I like taki, and i'm very sad that he has to go home, but i'm trying to understand that maybe he needs more practice before his debut. and I CAN'T BELIEVE I CAN SAY THIS RIGHT NOW but familia PLEASE REACT TO &TEAM TOO!! &TEAM is also a group under hybe labels, and there's EJ, NICHOLAS, TAKI from iland (and one more ilander but i can't say his name yet bcs it'll be spoiler). They're all improved so much, especially TAKI. &team's taki is still the same taki from iland who's cute, bubbly, kind, funny and soft but he has improved SO MUCH both dance and vocal wise. As i said, i like taki in iland and i like and love him even more now in &team! &Team is so underrated but they're so good, funny, chaotic and their synchronisation is on another level. Their songs are also soooo good. They're my favorite group from hybe after BTS now. Please please please i do really hope that you'll react to them someday along with enhypen

I am noticing and appreciating these talented boys more In my opinion, may be unpopular, but I think Bang PD was a little harsh but he was right... if we talk about talent, there were a lot better trainees than Ta-Ki because we are looking for a whole package here...singing, all genre dancing, rapping, stage presence, etc and he did need some more time to polish his skills and improve compared to trainees like Heesung, Jungwon or Sunghoon Nevertheless, I was so tensed about Jake when they were not announcing his name...he has been one of my favorites in I-Land

2024-08-04 08:35:11 +0000 UTCjust some insight into the i-land fandom (we called ourselves eggies lol) during this time just in case u were confused why the voting kinda flipped: bc the lower ranked contestants were revealed, many fans were telling others to vote for their favorite—being they didn’t want them to leave and the other contestants already had a higher rank. i don’t remember it exactly, but i remember we were able to vote for 1-2 (sometimes just one, sometimes two, but never more than that) at a time. my votes always went to jungwon and daniel! it does get really confusing bc some of the contestants who seemed deserving of a higher rank ranked lower because just like Kiki Varas commented: some people already assumed they would already get a lot of votes and didn’t feel the need to vote for them (until the ranking was revealed).

2024-08-04 07:12:30 +0000 UTCSomething to keep in mind for the voting is that the audience is voting on the previous episode so when things change drastically in between its because the global voters finally got to see and have new episode/information. For example, Jay being an absolute star last week and rising in the rankings. Someone mentioned above that if a trainee was doing well they may not get as many votes because us voters knew they would be safe and I totally agree with this. I think this happened with Jake this week. He got the benefit so I think he received less votes than he would have otherwise because voters knew he would be safe. I remember in voting you had limited trainees you could choose so I would also choose to use my votes for trainees i was worried about being voted out rather than to trainees I thought were doing well, for example I don't think I voted for Heesung until the final despite him being ,in my personal opinion , the trainee this show was put together for. Also you may have noticed these episodes end on a bit of the bittersweet feeling and the final is as rough as you think. Would you consider ending the finale episode with Enhypen's debut MV or a current performance to see how much they have grown?? There is also a cute behind video of the leader being selected but they may be too left field.

2024-08-04 05:34:19 +0000 UTCI think one of the reasons why the producers vote and audience vote were so different is because I think at the time the priorities were different. Both the producers and the fans were the ones to choose the final members. So As an example, if you see K is really talented and get praised by the producers. Some fans might think, “Oh they might not need my vote bc the producers already like them and they are more likely to pass in comparison to other contestants.” So I think that’s one of the reasons why some fans voted for the underdog and why it was so different. Like Niki and K are very talented and if you had to vote, some ppl might not feel the need to vote for them bc they feel they already have a higher chance of passing anyways. So I feel some ppl voted for contestants that are talents and likable but kinda the underdogs bc there is a lower chance of them passing. Obviously, not everyone thinks this way and there are many reasons why ppl would vote for ppl. But for me and my friends and from what I remember seeing on twitter, my favorite contestants were heesung and k but I didn’t vote for them bc I felt they already had a higher chance of passing in comparison to other contestants. So I remember voting for Sunoo and jungwon bc I felt they were also talented singers and overall stable, but I felt they’re chances of passing were lower in comparison and had a higher chance of being eliminated compared to contestants like heesung and K. Like I said not everyone thinks this way, and there is no right or wrong way to do it. But I do think bc the final members are chosen with both producers pick and fans pick, a lot of ppl ended up voting for ppl they thought were talented, liked and had lower chances of passing, so they voted for them to help them out.
