On one hand it’s good because you’re getting paid but on the other you feel really tired and never seem to have time for hobbies, etc. I hope that in time things balance themselves out for you ❤️ Funny you bring up Duolingo because that’s what I’m using alongside my usual learning methods haha! I like it but I don’t think it’s 100% Sometimes it feels like they “punish” you for not knowing something you’d have no idea how to know to begin with lol. Omg, I’ve seen the kraken scent you mentioned haha! XD I swear most guy scent bottles are dark/strong looking while all the female ones are pastel and cutesy. For the past few months I’ve been using the Native brand. It’s gender neutral and smells really good! And don’t apologize for a longer comment- I love talking with you all! :D

I admit that I had to look up some of what you said though, still not the best with kanji ; w ; One day though, I’ll get there ✨ It made me feel good to hear your experience with learning too! Even when I was more ontop of it I always felt that my reading/comprehension was much better than my speaking. I want to change that though and not feel shy about saying it too! :D I’m not sure if it’s like this at every Trader Joe’s, but I got the gummies up by the register- the packaging was pink if that helps! I had to stop myself from getting too into the scent/gender issue lol xD Maybe it’s from past experiences but I really can’t stand it! Totally fine if anyone wants to fall into traditional things but anyone that doesn’t shouldn’t be made fun of or feel less than. I appreciate you trying to guess the manga haha! I know it was completely impossible to guess from sound alone xD It was a volume of Mashle! :D

My new job (not sure if it’s new anymore I started in November but still) is going alright but I end up feeling drained after work and end up only having time to clean (my cat makes huge messes the little lovable shit) and cook until the weekend comes which I’m too tired to do anything I want. Can’t complain though I’m paying my bills and technically do have free time just not using it how I want. Whatever your family stuff is I hope you stay okay and that things get resolved the best way possible :) I used to have all kinds of family problems when I lived with my parents and sisters but now being states away I find myself missing them everyday. It annoys me how much I miss them now since back then I wanted to rip my hair out from the problems we had lol. Just hope the best for you and your family. I gave up learning Japanese. I tried Duolingo and it wasn’t doing much for me. I thought about getting back into it but then the bird died and I took it has a sign not to lol. I’m still considering because my best friend got back into it. I’m glad the Trader Joe’s cult accepted you this time! I’ll admit I am a part of the Trader Joe’s cult minus the judging people part lol so I get happy when others like Trader Joe’s. Sometimes I’ll go in and grab randoms food or drinks to see if they’re good. I tried these “everything but the bartender - margarita” and honestly not bad xD it caught me off guard I’m still in awe that you’re watching all of pokemon. I’ve had that goal for years and just never got around to it. When I’m free I do watch pokemon on twitch because they stream some episodes. I might buy episodes on Amazon or buy the dvds if I ever get out of my drained phase :p I uh HATE men scents!!! I’m sick of smelling like forest fire wildebeest or deep sea possum. Give me some damn fruit or flowers xD I like the smells don’t get me wrong but I want something good and comforting not something super strong that no one knows what that should thing smell like. Does anyone actually know what dark temptation or krakengard smell like?! These are actual smells! I agree with your theory. No one can convince me otherwise. I fully believe it was supposed to be Misty all the way until the show got more popular and they wanted to change things up so they added different girl protagonists, made Ash the charming, one of a kind, main character (he was a bit of a menace in the beginning), and as the years went on and kid shows became more kid friendly they dived away from the relationship stuff. I think I remember in the Sinnoh part of the show Dawn was into Ash at one point and this girl I think her name was Angie was into him? Ash just has game I guess lol. I didn’t realize how much I typed sorry about that lol. It’s easy to type away with rambles since they’re so chill and it’s like a conversation. I hope you have a good week and hopefully you can get the PO Box set up!

Shit sucks sometimes, but it sounds like you're keeping on top of it and I'm hoping things stay good! ...Er, "good" meaning relatively in control, not as in the current situation being good. You know what I mean 😅😅 ---- Best of luck with Japanese! 応援しますからさ！何か手伝ってあげることあるかなって思って、あれば伝えて下さい！If you're watching anime with no subs and still catching a fair portion of it, you're already doing pretty well. It's like anything else: even if you've gotten worse from disuse, it's still easier to get back to where you were before than it was the first time. And don't be self-conscious about the accent! Just knowing that intonation/pitch-accent exists and staying aware of it is enough to slowly get rid of it as you practice talking, no special study sessions required, and if anyone decides to hold it against you in the meantime, that sounds like a them problem. I think you got it completely right that not having a consistent speaking partner makes it harder to stay consistent and get better; language output and language intake both bolster each other and there's only so far you can get with just one or the other. I'm speaking from experience on this one, my ability to speak is just way too stunted compared to my ability to comprehend 😅 ---- Those chocolate glass crunches caught me off guard, I didn't expect them to be as loud as they were! Sounds like heaven to crunch down on, though, and the descriptions of the gummies made me a bit hungry (>_<) Maybe I should go find out if the Trader Joe's nearest me has them in stock. ------- I totally agree on the gendered scents thing! People should be able to smell like whatever (clean) scent they want. My story on that is kinda from the other direction; once went out to get stuff from a CVS and decided to get deodorant while there, and wouldn't you know it, different sections for male vs female. All of the male-marketed scents were made up concepts and it just baffled me. I dunno what "Power Man" or "Elklord" smell like, but I didn't quite want to find out. I had to go to the section clearly marketed towards women to find scents like sandalwood, vanilla, and cedar, and I'm like, "all of these are not only smells that anyone can put on, but these three in particular are pretty popular among men, why are *these especially* being gendered?" Clearly it's cause men only smell like concepts and women only smell like nature things and I was a fool for ever believing otherwise, lol /s Hard agree on the whole rest of the "genderization" talk, too. Like what you like, have the vibe that you have, and so on. Masculinity isn't just for men, and femininity isn't just for women. Feel free to fall along those traditional lines if you want, but judging others for not is too nasty. --------- I think the original intent was for Ash and Misty to get together too! Both of them were getting off to a start at the same time and even ignoring personality chemistry, they just have way too many shared experiences at such a developmental point in their journeys. I don't remember much about Serena myself, so I can't weigh in on if she's just as good of a pair for Ash, but it's hard to imagine that she is. --------- Thank you for the manga gripping! I don't think I've ever heard this one before, it's somehow both prickly and stimulating, yet soft at the same time. For the manga title, is it something that's publishing right now? The only things I could name out of those are Burn the Witch and One Piece... If current pulication isn't a restriction, I might guess Death Note? Total shot in the dark, though 😅

I’ve finally just decided to conclude things and it feels pretty freeing ngl. I definitely agree with your statement on learning a language! I learned the most from my Japanese teacher who was Japanese and grew up there. Finding others is definitely challenging though. I think there’s a lot of people who know some things but being able to teach or bounce things off one another is harder to find ; w ; Maybe I’ll feel different when I get to the season with Serena. It’s not fair of me to hate just yet since I didn’t watch really anything of her season so I’ll stay open minded…for now :P lol That’s so awesome to hear about your pokemon card collection! I hope you have fun getting some cards. Have you gotten any cool hits yet? :) Speaking of Yu-Gi-Oh! I actually redownloaded master duel and have been playing haha! 2025-03-05 23:20:55 +0000 UTCKinda hard to describe a refreshment stick, but I'll try. xD The best comparison would be something like a bite sized wafer roll, but instead of the wafer, it's made of crystallized sugar - so it's super crunchy, but not too hard. (That's why the trigger reminded me of it :D) Inside, there's a juice filling, usually with a bit of a sour kick. And the whole thing is coated in chocolate. It’s really hard to compare to anything since the texture mix is so unique, but they’re definitely amazing in the summer. :D

Some kanji I got a bit rusty on and definitely need to expand my knowledge of them. My writing…oh boy, it’s been a bit since I’ve done that. I’m ashamed that I did forget the correct way some of the characters are written 😭 I’m determined to improve though!

But I'm glad you've come to your own conclusion on things and were able to keep yourself distracted. I think that's the right way to go about things too. Keeping up with a language is a bitch lol I took a language in highschool and then in college I tried learning another on my own. Honestly, I think you learn more from people who already speak the language and practicing with them. It's just really hard finding someone! I don't remember much from the Orange Islands other than the last few episodes, which I thought were pretty great as a kid. And speaking of pokemon sounds, I've always hated that in the anime pokemon primarily just say their name. Those are some very interesting thoughts on Ash and Misty. Maybe the show runners did decide to change things around, and personally, I think that change is a good thing :P I liked the Serena Ash romance, it was a lot more straightforward. On the topic of pokemon, I finally decided to give card collecting a try. It's a pretty awful time to start, but i've actually managed to get my hands on some cards. I think I'm also going to build a Yu-Gi-Oh deck, I won't collect the cards but I've always really liked playing. Now I just need to convince some friends to play with me :P Oh wow. That basically is impossible to guess, even with the hint that it's a Shonen Jump manga lol Well, if I'm going to guess, then I'll go with something that I like. Akane Banashi.

Once you memorize all the symbols. It can be fun, but not mixing them up is a challenge on its on. And don’t even get me started on the writing aspect of it. But all in all it makes you feel big brain once you really get into it. Especially when you get past the 1-2 year mark.

I needa stop by a Trader Joe’s next time I go somewhere that has one the nearest one to me is like 2 hours away all the snacks sounds like they are delicious I’m having some spicy chiccaromes while listening. When you said they made Jolteen sound weird I can only think of that meme “look at how they massacred my boy” jolteen is one of my absolute favorite Pokémon and it’s a shame to do jolteen dirty like that. Well thanks for a nice chill time I had a bit of a rude awakening had do deal with some shit this morning so it was nice to just chill out and listen for a bit.

Don't know if there is an official translation, tbh. If it's the same thing, they have a sugar core with some kind of juice inside (lemon, orange, etc.). Could that be it? xD If so, try putting them in the freezer for a few minutes - they'll be even more refreshing! :3 Whatever they are, they were a great trigger! For Pokemon - were the Orange Islands episodes the ones where Tracey joined? I can vaguely remember them, I think. xD Feels like a fever dream now. And yeah, marketing things toward specific genders is so outdated. It's always a bad idea to dictate what someone has to like. There will always be people who dislike others just because they don't fit into a specific norm, and honestly, that's just sad and dumb. :/ And hey - long ramblings are the best! I don't know if you know about it, but just know it's supposed to be added to water and I'd recommend to get their Waifu Cups because some of them are dope. (Also, talking about that candy that's like glass, I though you were talking about the Edible Crystals because those sound like what you're saying. They are interesting ngl, and watching people eating it is pretty cool) First one I got was Sweet Six Pack, featuring 3 Six Packed Women with a flavor of Pineapple with Cherry. It's a good flavor, but idk why I thought that it felt like I was drinking the sweat of the women(... that sounded weird to say, I'm sorry). The color of it is also reminiscing of literally any Dark Pink/Red color. Second one is Brand Risk, a mix of Peach and Mango flavor. I tried this pack when I first got it as a sample pack and I really liked it, so I decided to get myself a container because why not. It looks like just about as much as a peach color. Third one is Guacamole Gamer Fart 9000, made by some 6'4 man that's like in his 30's that's tried all energy drinks and managed to create his own flavor. The taste of it is Strawberry and Lime, classic flavor that's very good with a green color. Lastly is Blo'Hole Blast, made by Shylily. Ngl, I got this flavor since i though it probably would taste similar to Baja Blast from Mtn Dew, but instead it's got a pretty good flavor(don't remember the taste as much) and it's got a cool blue color. Still questioning if the container is ACTUALLY glow in the dark with it's yellow glow.
