Roleplay poll 45 & QOTW! :)
Added 2024-04-29 04:09:00 +0000 UTCHello everyone, I hope your week is starting off well! I feel it’s been a bit since I did a question of the week since my move so I’m excited to do that again- I love chatting with you all :) But first let’s talk about the character poll for (not this Friday) but the one after. This coming up Friday we’ll have a dotting waitress of an ASMR cafe ❤️ I may throw in a southern accent because why not :P
Next week I want you to pick one of these that sounds most interesting. This is not relative to the character but to you as the listener- that’s the only hint you get!
Question of the week is this: what’s the longest road trip you’ve taken or just the longest you’ve ridden/driven in a car? Yes, I’m asking this because of my recent move haha! I plan on uploading a ramble about my experience later this week too 💀 lol

Some of my family are from Germany but they have all passed away now. I'd really just like to visit to learn more about the country and see where some of my family are from! ^_^ Oh my gosh, I didn't even see the nuggets haha! I love that so much xD I'm glad you enjoyed that idea Mi-kotin. It's always nice seeing your pfp art!

2024-05-02 12:57:55 +0000 UTCEurope is generally beautiful.^^ But your main reason for visiting Germany is to see your family.(I think?) Have you other reasons why you want to visit Germany? And the new pfp, I am glad you like it.^^ Yes, it's the king in yellow and he shares a picture with Pennywise, he is in the lower half of the picture and is trying to reach his nuggets. Thank you ali for the idea. ^^ And what you mean with again? xD Whatever you mean by that, You can be sure I change my pfp again. :P xD

2024-05-01 00:45:40 +0000 UTCI was about to say!!!! Lol I try for one break every 3-4 hours depending on how long of a drive it is lol And hopefully you're in one of the areas that get hit by the 13 year brood!! Lol out of my entire city, they are clustered in my neighborhood

2024-04-30 22:25:59 +0000 UTCOh no, no- definitely a couple of bathroom and breaks for gas fillups haha! As for the cicadas, I haven’t heard any just yet. I’m definitely looking forward to it though! I already have my recorder ready to go out there and get some good background sounds when I do :D

2024-04-30 21:48:49 +0000 UTCOh god, really?! Wow! I'd definitely say give traveling a go - I would also highly recommend the EU, every hill has a story, and every bend in the road leads to a little bit of different culture (Italy in particular is beautiful)

2024-04-30 12:53:29 +0000 UTCIt was rough for sure. My legs, butt and back hated me towards the end 💀 Whenever I got a hotel I literally just took a shower and fell asleep lol. I’m never doing that again. NC is my home now and that’s how it’s going to be. At most I’ll do some traveling for fun but moving- no, never again lol.

2024-04-30 03:51:27 +0000 UTCI’ve never been to Mexico but I did live in SoCal so pretty close! Gotta admit I’m only on what, week two? And I’m already missing the Mexican food haha! 😆 I did manage to eat some southern BBQ with my family though and I definitely missed those flavors. I’m also remembering that us southerners love our ranch dressing and mayonnaise lol. I think the most flights I took in one go was three and that was when I first moved to CA. I believe it was three to get there so what would have taken 6-8 hours ended up taking around 12-14. I’ve never really traveled up north but it would be nice to someday! :)

2024-04-30 03:49:45 +0000 UTCWow, that’s a long distance for sure! I can only imagine the scenery though, I’m sure it was really pretty :) I know I’ve mentioned it before but I’d love to visit Germany one day ❤️ Unrelated to this conversation but I like your new pfp again! I’m not sure if this was your intention but it makes me think of the king in yellow. It’s been so long since I read it but it’s very cool ✨

2024-04-30 03:44:20 +0000 UTCHey, 350 miles is still a good distance! I’ve never left the US but would love to at least once in my life 😀

2024-04-30 03:40:01 +0000 UTCVery nice! I visited Florida when I was really young and remember it being nice down there. Haven’t really traveled up north any but maybe someday! :D

2024-04-30 03:39:21 +0000 UTCWow, that is a lot- especially for a motorcycle, wow! I can only imagine how sore your butt was after all that 😆 I’m sure you got to see some really cool stuff though so that’s awesome. As for the poll choices I promise they all fit into a theme, just trust me haha!

2024-04-30 03:37:56 +0000 UTCWoah, 50 hours is a long time! I’ve never been on a ferry but I have a family member that lived in Canada and they told me about them. I’m going to look at the distance between Scotland and Croatia- I’m going to imagine it’s a lot haha! Hope you’re doing well Antoni and your week is starting off good :D

2024-04-30 03:33:22 +0000 UTCSaw just so many things! We ended up making so many pitstops and what not, I'd love to do a road trip like that again at some point lol And heck! 10-12 hours is still a friggin long as hell time! After about 6 hours, I'm pretty much done and want to stop lol wait.. 10-12 without breaks????? O.o Oh! Completely off note, have the cicadas invaded your part of NC yet??? I've already seen more this past week than I have the past few years, and now there is a constant never ending hum that is getting louder and louder by the day lol some people nearby have even started calling the cops cause of them!!

2024-04-30 03:03:48 +0000 UTCOh wow, that is a long time driving for sure! I’d be surprised if anyone can beat that haha! XD I’m sure it was really cool though being young and in the passenger seat- makes for some good memories. I think the longest I drove straight (not including bathroom breaks and eating) was 10 or 12 hours. That was when I came into Tennessee since it started raining and my phone signal was crap lol. Finding a hotel that night was a nightmare 😂

2024-04-30 03:02:20 +0000 UTCI'm very much not a travel type person, home is the best place I can be, but I have gone on a few trips far from home. The longest being from Tn to Ohio, I felt like I was getting cabin fever but in a car, so I couldn't imagine what it's like to go from coast to coast.

2024-04-30 01:09:25 +0000 UTCAll are good options but only one is acceptable, even if we aren't gonna be a band member(sad). For the question of the week, longest trip I've had before was my trip to Mexico. Idk what exact state I was in, all I know is that it took me like 2 airplane flights to get there since where I live they don't take me straight there. Even then I still wasn't home afterwards since after that, I had to take a flight to go to California since my parents were over there while me and my little brother where in Mexico. If it were for driving, then I'd have to say that New Jersey is the farthest place I've been to. For context, I haven't been there ever since literal birth, last time I remembered being there was like when I was between 10 or so, and it's legitimately been a decade(that was like a while ago) since I've ever been there afterwards. Also because it takes like 2 days(or like 25 or so hours if you don't sleep through the ride) to even get there so it was basically mandatory to only go there during the summer.

2024-04-29 22:15:55 +0000 UTCMy longest car journey was from Germany to Spain with my family. 1800km (1118mi) we covered this distance in a day and a half, went on vacation in Spain for two weeks and then drove back home again. (My parents thought it was a good idea and did this never again xD) The longest distance I've driven alone in a car was from Germany to Austria. (I moved to Austria) 1000km (620mi) I covered the distance in 11h and took 2 breaks. (I'm not much better than my parents xD)

2024-04-29 22:07:46 +0000 UTCProbably only ~350 miles or so to be honest... The UK is small!
Verrick
2024-04-29 21:40:16 +0000 UTCThe longest travel by car would either be from Tennessee down to Florida or up to New Hampshire as part of a trip to various New Englad States.

2024-04-29 10:21:54 +0000 UTCI'm really trying to imagine a scenario where these three ideas fit into a similar story. It sounds like a cheesy joke: a thief, a band member and a killer walk into a bar... Is this question car exclusive? I rode my motorcycle from Brisbane to Tasmania aus. It was about a 2400km (~1500mi) long drive which took about 6 days and included an overnight ferry. Very fun trip, but midway through I really missed the comforts of an enclosed car, and my butt really hurt by the end of it.

2024-04-29 06:47:37 +0000 UTCWhilst Delta has me beat with distance, I do believe (at least compared to most others residing near me) I have one of the most amount of hours spent in road trips - or most number of road trips throughout ones life. My family's primary method of international travel was always by road (and ferry to cross the sea). The longest so far being my dad driving us from Scotland to Croatia and back; each journey lasting around 50 hours including breaks and the ferry between Dover and Dunkirk. Props to you for doing it yourself, Ali. I don't drive yet, so these distances look even more exhausting.

2024-04-29 04:53:33 +0000 UTCIt is strange that you put band member among thief and killer. It is almost like you trying to say something :p

2024-04-29 04:46:52 +0000 UTCCan't really say anything about my week since it just barely got started lol hope yours got off to a great start though! Hmm.. being a thief sounds like it'd be interesting.. we getting caught in the act? Lol Also uhh..I think I'll have everyone beat with the road trip.. lol when I was 8, my dad got hired to set up telecommunication stations at all the air force bases in the continental US and brought me along. Ended up taking 3 months, and 15,000 miles, it was amazing! And then a year later, we packed up and moved from VA to Washington state, and 5 years later, we did the reverse, taking the long route both times. But now I'm in NC lol recently was a 1200 mile offroading/camping road trip that actually stayed in NC, going from my city to the TN border off 40, then snaking our way across the state doing various trails in a 20 vehicle convoy before ending at the beach, camping out for a few days and relaxing. First day was torture though, was up for 19 hours with most of that being seat time lol
