Maybe you're celebrating a great mother. Maybe you're missing a mother no longer here. Maybe you deserve congratulations from getting away from a mother. Maybe today is just another Sunday.
In any case, I want to wish you a happy Mother's Day and hope today is wonderful 🌹

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas, whether your babies are human or have fur, fins, scales, feathers, etc., mom friends, those missing their moms, those who are so much better off without their moms, those longing to be moms, and anyone else who just needs a hug today 🫂🫂🫂 Thanks for a lovely post, Doc 💜💜 cheers to Ma Rapture for raising a good one I agree with Megs, our Carrie’s IG post today was perfect 💗💗

2024-05-13 01:57:14 +0000 UTCAlso meant to include that Mom Hugs (and Dad Hugs) are important, and regardless of children you might have in your home and/or life supporting those young people who've had to cut ties with parents is so very important. If you have the bandwidth and ability you can find lots of organizations out there to put you in touch with kids at risk for a variety of reasons. Stepping down off soapbox now, no guilt or pressure, just spotlighting a need I see daily.

2024-05-12 17:33:29 +0000 UTCAll of you, if you haven’t, you should go see @Carriereadsromance ’s post on IG. I won’t do it justice, but basically she says there are many ways to mother. She speaks of affection and care, and celebrating women in that way because we are often the primary source of love and care, especially for each other. It’s a day to celebrate women. Our fierce and tender hearts that we often give of freely. But also Doc, and this might be weird, I often say the weird thing, but I’d like to say that you are a source of tenderness, affection, and care for us as well, so while not a mother or a woman, please have a Happy Mother’s Day as well.

2024-05-12 16:25:12 +0000 UTCI just watched my mother serve herself from a casserole she made for family brunch while telling me what was in it, and then 3 minutes later ask my sister to tell her what she was eating bc she had no recognition of it. (She thought the melted cheese on top was a crust and she hadn't made a thing with a crust.) We haven't always had a great relationship, but watching her go through this is REAL hard some days. I am going to wind up moving her in with me and it is gonna be solid Grey Gardens up in that bitch and I hate that and also love it. What I'm saying is, it's a complicated day, and I hope you beautiful people all get through it the best you can.
