Hi guys, sorry for the game updates being a bit irregular but i'm being incredibly busy lately, but don't worry, i'm working on it.
Today in particular i finally had the chance to test something i wanted to implement in the game and i understood something: this game is taking more than the others to make.
Let's start with why the game will take more work so that then i can explain what i made today.
So, basically i take more to draw, that's cause even though it may not be incredibly noticeable just this one map has a number of improvements from the one in the Chloe game that had me putting some time into it. I noticed that in the time that i drew like 3 maps for the Chloe game i only drew one now, not only to make it look a bit more polished but also because i made it much more layered in order to animate it better in the video you can find in the downloads.
Basically the saliva inside the mouth is not just drawn on the tongue like the previous mouth map and there's also more movement that i tried to sync the best i could with the other elements.
Lastly, we have of course the implementation i was talking about earlier: the Susan sprite seen from the "outside".
I think this is the biggest addition, every map will now feature a small Susan's sprite always present in the corner so that you can always know what's happening to you during the game.
I did this mostly because i needed to show the exercises from a better perspective or they wouldn't have played a big role in the game as i wanted to, but also because some of you asked for different shots other than the POV ones during the polls and, you know, the game is for you.
It's important to understand though that this is not trying to be an animation of the exercises, i think all of them will only have two frames just to show how the movements of Susan's body affect the map, also cause if i had to make detailed animations of every exercise i would take forever.
So yeah, in the downloads have the first map of the game animated with the sprite in it, to represent which approach i'll use for all the other ones coming next.
I'd really like to have a feedback about this from you! I'm really interested in your opinion!!
As always, thanks for the support, i'm glad to be here doing this and i hope you enjoy the results!!
