Denizens of the Tower!

I have kept exploring the ways I can portray tridimensional locations for my maps. I've been playing games like dark souls and bloodborne where often the areas have verticality and the encounters span several levels and I tried to do the same thing here.

For example, in area 2, there are some undead. But fighting them is not easy because there are undead archers in the corridors above, in area 4. You have to go to area 3 and fight more, in order to reach the archers for melee combat. Of course, there are tons of ways to solve this encounter but I wanted to explore something that required a different approach than just "monsters in a room".

This adventure is about retrieving the remains of a dead paladin whose body is in the cells (area 8) the place is crawling with undead and constructs whose only mission is to stop anyone from reaching the cells. It is all an old vendetta from a sore loser necromancer who could not reanimate the paladin's body because of a miraculous protection.

Nice idea - tricky to implement in a VTT unfortunately. Anything inspired by Dark Souls is automatically excellent, however.
