Denizens of the Tower!

It's time I made a city map! This is Hoban, a cool medium-sized city near a river delta. The city is primarily a farming settlement although the farming activities are to be phased out over the course of a few generations as the city continues to grow.

Hoban has an immediate problem. As the city grows to become an economic hub, it is an attractive target for brigands and raiders. Hoban does not have a wall as of now. Lord Fick has tried to secure funds from the crown to see the project through but so far he has been denied. The high tithes the city pays to the capital prevent it from making such a serious investment. The consequence is that attacks are ever more frequent and the populace are left with the not optimal choice to seek refuge in the barracks or the fortified manor. While it has worked so far, the townsfolk do not relish being at the mercy of the lord and the commander when the need arises.
