If I was Danny as soon as I arrived in Westeros I would have went right to Kings Landing, taken out the Lannisters and put myself on the iron throne in just a few days. Then I would offer everyone else to either bend the knee or get mopped. This would then prevent other things that would come after. I can't say anymore until she finishes season 8 but you get my point.

The First Men who built the wall had ancient spells cast into the wall that no white could pass as long it was standing. The dead needed a dragon to bring down the wall. Them going north , and Daenerys going to save them was a 🎁 for the Night King.
