I try to put myself in his position and think about what I might do with this scenario, and honestly I'm not so sure. After finding out the guy Fletch has been falling for and traveling with for the last few weeks is not who he said he was, and has been lying about his identity is one thing. But being humiliated in front of your favorite band/their family... Then feeling insignificant knowing about the decisions Judas has to make and the inevitable distance between them... The "back to reality" of going home after a long vacation of a lifetime...
Fletch is not the same person he was when this comic started. And with so much change in so short of time, to me... him packing his things and flying home makes sense. In a muddled kind of way...
