What I think is happening, is her TEAM is trying to make her more of a pop star than rapper. I listen to the radio, and she's always on pop stations. She was only on the rap stations for "Juicy", and sometime "Tia Tamra". I feel like this is because of her team, because when she has live performances, she never fails to impress.

Took a couple of days of listening to the album. Womannnnnn!!! When she said they want them to be like Regina on Mean Girls I gagged. Perfecttttt opening track. I fucking love that damn song. But you’re right. It should’ve been ALL ABOUT Doja this past week and the weekend the album came out. I think the release of the deluxe was cuz of streams. And I’m salty cuz I was prayingggg Nicki was gonna be on the deluxe. Deluxes like you said are usually a moment. Like they usually come out months or sometimes years after the original album come out

Let’s talk because I’m 10000% agreeing with your points about the BET awards and how disappointed I was to not see her perform…..possibly she knew she wasn’t going to win anything beforehand 🤷🏾♀️ But either way that was PRIME time to leave a well rehearsed and sickening live visual with some NEW choreography. While she’s got superstar talent, she’s not solidified enough and exactly like you, I want her to be in her alt black girl bag and be recognized and respected for her craft. Ever since I first heard this bitch say “bitch im a cow” and “return of the snack” I knew she was the girl for meeee. This album IS great but she’s gonna need some innovative performances to go along with it I fear and I’ll be damned if her team stifles that creativity

I can agree at the fact that the music is just too different from what she started out with and that her visuals aren’t as sickening as they used to be. She may need a new team or she’s gonna have to learn how to take control over her image and how she wants to be presented as far as her music is concerned. I loved her in the beginning. Hot Pink set the tone for what I was expecting for many albums to come. I do like the different sounds she did use. She’s a great pop girl. But I like it when she puts all genres in one song. Like Bottom Bitch was a song that could have gone any way. It sounded like rock, R&B, pop, a little hip hop with the beat. I miss that Doja.

I watch the video from time to time, it's a cute story being told and the visuals are interesting enough to stick out in my mind. I think she had some of her signature quirkiness coming through for sure. But you right about you right, the video was real damn basic and mainstream to me.

It didn’t feel like a deluxe rather “here are some songs that were suppose to be on there I just didn’t have them finished in time” but ion know I just gotta see what Doja has planned. I know nothing about the industry or what happens behind the scenes. Also, would we be able to get a video on what’s going down with the tired ass podcast, cause I still watch those videos today😂

She tweeted how she felt she'll never make beautiful music...why? It's beautiful. I think the team is pushing her sooo pop that she's becoming a blank slate for them and she's not happy with that.
