Rewrite & Content Teaser

Hey everyone, hope you had a good weekend!

This week I'm going to dip into my backlog a bit and actually not write to progress the story.

Rewrite:

Now that the full first book has been published on RR, I feel like I need to polish it up and get ready to submit it to Aethon. A big part of this, and something I've been wanting to do for RR anyway, is to rewrite some of the early chapters.

Before I post them on Royal Road, I plan to post them here!!! I will likely post them in 5 Chapter batches and the changes will likely just be to the first 15-18 chapters.

I want to be clear:

These rewrites will not affect the actual plot of the story. You will not miss anything at all if you do not go back and reread these chapters.

Alex will still be the same character in these chapters. He will still be weak-willed, and I will do my best to keep the interactions and reactions that he makes in line with that character. I still want there to feel like genuine character growth from a normal dude to the MC over Book 1, so he will not be rewritten as a badass in these early chaps or anything... despite what RR commenters might want. lol.

That being said, as I've gone back to read my earlier writing, there is a LOT that I could improve on. While I don't want to get stuck in "editing hell" I do want to turn in a more polished version for publishing.

I'll post those on Patreon before I start replacing the chapters on Royal Road. I'd love any feedback you guys have.

Future Content Teaser:

As a bit of a teaser, I've also been plotting and planning two things this last week:

1. Book 3 outline - almost finished

2. The Wandering Scholar Trilogy - An off-world character in the Spell Weaver Chronicles. They do enter the story at a very different timeline, and in a way that you guys will see him pop up in about a month from now. (Very different timelines) For now, this will likely just be fun writing and world building for me. Since it's a different planet, it means different politics and world building, though the same System. When I get this more ironed out, I'll begin posting it here as bonus Patron content and likely wouldn't post on RR at all or until the first book or two was completed. So, it's just for your enjoyment (and mine I suppose)!!
