[Clara's Confessional] March 4th week's weekly update

Hello everyone, this is Warumiyo.\(´◓Д◔`)/!

It's springtime, and the cherry blossoms are blooming in my city.

Although the weather has warmed up, we've been working on game development for around 13 hours every day. (about 85 hours for this week :( )

It's been extremely tiring and a bit regrettable, but thanks to our efforts, the development has progressed significantly!

<Confessional System>

First, let me explain the confessional system, which was scheduled for this week's work.

(We don't really like the image of the curtain, so we may redraw it soon)

This is the screen for counseling in the confessional, one of Clara's main duty.

In the top left corner, the information about Clara is displayed.

Once Clara starts her confessional duties, she continues until either she completely exhausts her mental gauge or she has counseled all the villagers waiting to visit the confessional.

Below that, information about the villager currently being counseled is displayed. Typically, since they cannot see each other's faces while conversing, lots of the personal information of the villagers will be limited at the beginning.

However, later on, by using counseling skills (not implemented yet), Clara'll be able to understand the villager's information, the type of counseling they desire, and their psychological state.

The dialogue between the villager and Clara is briefly displayed in speech bubbles. Clara must appropriately choose between "embrace" and "reprimand" based on the color of the speech bubble, reflecting the type of conversation the villager is having, to reduce the villager's "guilt."

When the villager's guilt reaches 0, the counseling is successful, and the next person in the waiting line enters the confessional.

In the bottom left corner, the villagers waiting to enter the confessional are displayed, with a small icon showing the total number of remaining people waiting.

In the top right corner, there is a tab to check Clara's facial expressions behind the confessional and a tab to determine her posture while conducting counseling from beyond the confessional.

Typically, Clara and the villager face each other during the confession with a curtain in between them, but since they cannot see each other's appearance, Clara's posture during the confession is free.

The player can only control Clara's actions, but the central screen displays the villager's perspective looking toward Clara. The villager's level of focus on each hole is displayed in real-time in the top right corner in the pose tab. If the villager's focus is higher on a hole other than the one for the face, they will look through that hole instead of facing Clara for counseling.

Additionally, by default, there are two holes in the wooden wall between Clara and the villager, and more holes can be added or changed through interior upgrades by installing various modules.

Players can freely choose whether to view the villager's perspective through the icon in the top right corner of the central area or to view any desired hole at any time.

On the right-center of the screen, the skills Clara can use during counseling are displayed. (Not implemented yet)

There are three types of skills: 1. General actions, 2. Counseling skills, and 3. Seduction skills. These skills can be unlocked by investing skill points obtained through prayer at the church.

<Clara's Room>

Clara resides in a small room in a corner of the church. You can enter Clara's room from the village map by clicking on the church, regardless of the time. The interior of Clara's room looks like this:

Additionally, by clicking on the mirror placed in Clara's room, the following UI appears:

As of the time of writing this post, the UI image work has been completed, and its implementation in the game will likely occur next week.

(We are actually DRAWING all the assets by ourselves, instead of using any other assets from the web! )

The UI is expected to consist of three tabs + a save/load button.

In the first tab, the default tab, you can equip or remove Clara's outfit (several outfits exist), underwear, and accessories. The bottom section allows you to check the items Clara is carrying. Clara's thoughts are displayed in the top left, and her stats are shown in the top right.

In the second tab, the skill tab, you can check Clara's skill points and unlock skills according to the skill tree.

There are three types of skills: counseling skills, utility skills, and seduction skills.

The third tab displays information related to Clara's secrets, which are all the stats and records related to lewdness.
