Ngl, really feel for Sai and Torune. Sound like their legit mission goals are that they want to better themselves and get some friends. Just so happens the only way they'd actually try is if ordered on a mission. But, yeah. Probably not the best idea there Obito, for a multitude of reasons.

I can see him hearing about Kotaro and deciding he wants a 'worthy' student or aid. Probably won't end well for him considering the pace Kotaro is going.

Something I have to facepalm about in that case is Obito sending two people that have ninja skills engraved in their bones since childhood, with evident tells like Sai way of talking and a clearly fake background to totally not spy on him 🙄

Aside from possible rez schemes this is a good indicator of this how much this world is an AU. And as usual Obito screws up lol, but not in a way that anyone could imagine. Damn but kota's pre assumptions are working against him here. At the same he is showing his competency since he narrowing down his parameters. Also one of Obito's speculations is really relevant. Can't the MC use one of his charges to get information about the world itself instead of a "tech tree". Say something like current organization of leaf forces, official and unofficial ? Finally looks like Kota has done it. He didn't manage to make the Kurama heir field capable. She made her entire clan military powerful. Giving teleportation abilities to her just about break the normal levels of threat she could ever hope to have. Even if its limited or needs a lot of prep she just became a logistical gold mine to Konoha. Specially if she can actually transport other shinobi around. It is the kind of ability that once used will definily go to the bingo books.

This is especially bad on phones where it tries to save you data by not looking things up on the internet, but often results in referencing data that might be days or weeks old.
