I wonder what the advantages of using the metal plate with shunshin on it are over using the long form technique in his head. More chakra efficient, faster activation, more powerful version of the technique, less chakra residue, less mental concentration? Or maybe he's doing the mental long form on top of the plate, and he's using the plate to cut out the hand signs?

Kota gets irritated with it because he's teaching them *combat* skills, which indicates his actual capability in the ninja arts when he's trying to mostly stay out of the spotlight.

Either Narumi/Naruto succeeded in performing the kage bunching and that's just a shutload of clones Kota's surrounded with, or we have a leak of Kyuubi Chakra. Happy holidays to you too!

2022-12-22 15:50:16 +0000 UTCNote: naruto's problems with the clone technique were not that he was overloading it, but under loading it because he didn't have a very good grasp of the balance of the technique (i.e. control). Presumably he had shitty sensitivity to how much he was driving the technique so his minimum chakra bit he could apply was a significant fraction of the actual technique's total cost. Density and volume were part of it, sure, but the fundamental problem was still control.

2022-12-22 13:16:27 +0000 UTCIn-universe, it's a question of trying to get pre-teen boys to acknowledge that someone their own age actually has something to teach them. The only two who might be up for it in the core cast are Sakurai and Shikimaru, though the former is kind of timid and the latter would have to be motivated to do so. Chouji is too reliant on clan techniques, Kiba is the same but with an added bad attitude... there are more problems with getting the guys in the study group, though they *will* make an appearance later. Much to Kota's annoyance.
