So this happened 2 weeks ago...

Middle of January and temperatures went up to 10 degrees Celsius (50 fahrenheit) with rain as well... so the ditch running behind the house filled up and since it was still half filled with ice and snow, it overflowed on the neighbour's backyard... and swerving right on our driveway before hitting his house (which I believe was fine, despite his backyard being a river)... our house wasn't as lucky.

Essentially, I was called while at work by my father (it's a bi-generational house) freaking out because water was seeping into the house at an alarming rate and our pumps couldn't handle the volume of water rushing into our drain.

Drove back home in a rush when he told me the water was getting pretty close to my room.  Got at home right in time to save my computer which was sitting in one inch of water (with the case wide open from when I changed the power supply, which I told you all about 2-3 months back), and all the power cables too, etc... Basically a freak out moment, except it was still running fine (and even had time to finish rendering 7 pics that day... so... yay).  Walked real slowly to not send any little waves into my case, shut it down, pulled the plug and lifted up the case and all the power cables I could before anything worse could happen.

In the end, I arrived at the same time as the fire department who set us up with extra pumps and we had all under control fairly quickly.

Miraculously, I didn't lose much.  PC turned out fine after I let it and all my cables dry for a day.  I only lost my bed mattress, which soaked up water.  They also had to take out my flooring and the bottom 3-4 inches of every wall... so I'm essentially relegated to sleeping on the couch in my parents side of the house until we can have my room re-done and I buy a new mattress.  What this means is I've got to move my whole PC setup in a more public area of the house.  And while they know what I do, there are certain things I'm not necessarily comfortable doing in front of them.

This means I could work on new characters, dressing up characters and setting up scenes, but once the lovedoll stuff starts happening, then I worked on something else until everyone went to sleep... so that hindered work a little but I'm slowly putting that behind me.  Hoping to be able to move back into my room within the month...  just wanted to update you all, sorry for the wall of text

Are you gonna do a house flooding with inflatable love dolls in it set now?
