Winter Pursuit (CG and above tier levels)
Added 2025-04-01 09:14:16 +0000 UTCHere's another chase-type map, similar to the previous one, but in a winter environment. But that's not all I made. I'm adding an animated sled with the dogs to this winter version and the horse-drawn carriage with the horses as an animated prop to the previous post. This way, the position of the sledge or cart is not tied but can be placed anywhere on the map using the Editor or your VTT.
The no-sled and no-dogs version is good if you play with 3d printed minis.
You'll also find a stationary scene, three cute animated husky tokens, and the sled in case the encounter turns out to be a non-escape conflict.

Should I continue making "chase" type maps? I'd love to hear your thoughts, so

Love it! Anyone have battle mechanic ideas? For my 4th level Pathfinder 1e game I have a an idea of the movement using a d8 to gain or loose 5-15ft. or or not make progress. the Sleds and mounts will have their own turn in initiative. But it's the starting out bit I am struggling with, because the melee characters can't do anything until someone is within reach. My opponents will be 3 Dwarven barbarian bear riders and 2 casters with two archers on two different sleds.

2025-04-01 11:49:44 +0000 UTCDigging this! Any chance to get a prop of the sled without the rope and dogs so that if we had the sled being pulled lets say, and we used actually printed minis of the dogs, the dogs could be independant and thus, attacked, stopped, or removed as the chase went on. Hopefully that makes sense. Basically, JUST the sled haha. I love the chase scenes and like having them in a variety of settings, including weather, location and time of the day. Keep it coming!!!

2025-04-01 11:30:15 +0000 UTCThese maps are challenging, not just artistically but technically, because perfect quality means enormous file size. I must find that happy medium during encoding where the quality is still good, but the file size and bitrate are tolerable. The webm version is so compressed that you can't get an enjoyable quality of the moving seen, so I didn't include it in this set. However, you can try converting the videos to webm using Any Video Converter or Shutter Encoder, which are free tools.
