Dynamic Dungeons Editor 1.0.18. + Steam Autumn Sale
Added 2024-11-28 12:07:21 +0000 UTCDynamic Dungeons Editor version 1.018 has been released on Steam. It includes some new features and bug fixes:
Particle effect preview in the library: It was quite difficult to find the particle effects in the library because they don't have thumbnails. Now we have solved this by playing a preview in the middle of the screen for the GM when the mouse is hovering over a particle effect in the library
Removing user assets: Right-click on an asset in the library to remove it
Webm assets' new location in the library: Webm files, which are typically animated effects or animated tokens, are now listed in the library under the "animations" tab instead of in the videos. (I plan to make and release more animated tokens in the future)
Fixed a bug where the small crossed-out eye icon did not appear next to the non-visible webm file
Fixed a bug where the grid was overlayed on top of all props when weather effect was applied to the scene
Fixed a bug where an alert message indicating missing assets was displayed in huge letters on the scene
Fixed a bug where scaling a prop with input fields distorted the asset
Fixed a bug where when using the rectangular tool in fog of war reveal, selecting a tiny area accidentally revealed the entire scene
Fixed a bug where the program did not automatically return to prop mode when closing the AOE tool window
Again, I would like to point out that the program requires a dedicated video card, as stated in the Steam software requirements. (Also works well with Apple M1 processors and above) The Editor loads all the content added to the library into memory, due to the nature of the Unity framework. Video files are large, and many videos quickly consume the memory available for rendering, slowing down the program and increasing the load time.
If you don't have enough memory, load only the video files you need for the story. If you don't even download the DLC, it significantly increases performance and reduces memory usage and loading time. To do this, go to Dynamic Dungeons Editor on Steam, and click the little cog icon (Manage). Under Properties / DLC uncheck the Default Assets. Restart the app. (You can still load the library items you need for the story by downloading the default assets DLC separately from here: Dynamic Dungeons Default Assets)
We are determined to fix the bugs. If you find one, please report it here: BUG REPORT
