Are the chaos goons going to show up eventually? Because Planetos seems like a place where people cult out at the drop of a hat, hence, perfect chaos breeding grounds

2025-03-24 18:22:13 +0000 UTCExactly this. Owen noticed his soldiers weren't defended better against magic and utterly failed to make even a token attempt to gear up the normal humans he dragged with him to kill mages. Mages who have zero moral limits and are actively sacrificing a city for their goals.

2025-03-17 14:32:38 +0000 UTCHonestly I don’t know how you’re going to have Owen logically killed the Black goat possed avatar. As you’ve said multiple times, his reserves are near empty and he has not had a chance to recover. His soldiers are dead and his guns aren’t even powerful enough to fully put down its empowered sorcerers so how will it hurt the actual avatar? His magical reserves are near empty so he can’t really create some massive magical construct to combat it, his weapons and armor aren’t as powerful as you’ve made them seem and so unless you’ve got some trick you’ll be deciding to pull, logically this would be death for Owen and Jon.

2025-03-17 14:32:17 +0000 UTCThis statement doesn’t make sense. I love this story, it’s honestly one of my favorites right now but it truly does feel like you have nerfed Owen for the sake of plot, which is one of the biggest things that will drive me away from a story. Make the enemies powerful, but keep our MC at his normal power level so that we don’t see horrible showings of the character we’re invested in. In regards to defenses, Owen has seen powerful magics creating massive abominations that he had to expend himself so greatly to defeat that it knocked him unconscious, in what world does he see that there is “nothing that can harm him”? Even if he didn’t craft it for himself, what about his solders or Jon? They’re relying on the armor but they’ve already seen that his inventions aren’t all powerful so for him to believe that they still are is a bit nonsensical.

2025-03-17 14:28:56 +0000 UTCApologies to anyone else seeing the MC as an idiot. Will fix in later chapters

2025-03-17 13:34:56 +0000 UTCAlso, when it comes to his defences, he didn't think that anything can hurt him or if there was anything that can, he'd be quick enough to dodge. Reading the books and seeing the show, he's doubting anything can harm him, especially with the forge but he's seeing now that isn't the case.

2025-03-17 13:34:14 +0000 UTCSorry the MC annoys you. But as of now he has been rushing to clear the fog and save braavos quickly as he's already wasted time with the sea beast and recovering from the monstrosity he had to kill. As for not double tapping as you say, he saw illiphos fellow mages go down easy. He didn't know illiphos would be any different. The goat possessing him wasn't planned either even if he did "double tap."

2025-03-17 13:28:16 +0000 UTCGetting a touch annoyed at Owen's constant bumbling with these recent chapters. You are making him seem REALLY stupid lately. He crafts thousands of guns but doesn't craft even a few magical defensive options. He gets into a fist fight with a blood sorcerer and doesn't double tap. This amount of forced idiocy is getting ridiculous, stop and put the plot enforced idiot ball away please before you kill this story by nerfing your MC into a drooling moron...
