Celestial smith chapter 44
Added 2025-03-10 14:02:37 +0000 UTCCelestial smith chapter 44:No more holding back
From the pics and story, you know where this is going. Yes, Owen is still not at 100 percent after fighting the sea beast and making the tree. And indeed it has consequences. Owens weapons and armor could no diff any army. Any mortal army and he is seeing what happens when it goes against creatures of magic. He never made any changes for runes against magic or magical being so while no sword or weapon could pierce the enchanted masterwork armor that comes from the factories, they aren't enchanted to stop magical creatures or weapons.
Then there's the lords realizing Owens changes may finally catch up to them when the war is over.

2025-03-19 22:36:25 +0000 UTCThat’s why he’s so desperate. He’s realizing how far the situation is out of his control and is trying anything to get control of him. He’s got nothing he can offer so he’s relying on Ned’s loyalty to Robert to tie him to the crown. Notice Tywin is not satisfied with Longshore already being tied to the North.

2025-03-11 15:52:08 +0000 UTCMassively disappointed in Owen here. They are on the clock against blood magic he barely understands and he wastes his time and energy saving stupid knights who couldn't listen to orders? Way to endanger everyone for a pointless reason. Honestly this whole recent arc is starting to feel like you gave Sauron the deathstar because Frodo has a lightsaber... If Owen keeps looking this bad with the temple of Solomon at his fingers for years I'm going to be very disappointed.

2025-03-11 00:10:08 +0000 UTCThey can't replicate the blackpowder if it isn't there, they can't recreate the tiny little pieces of the gun with their shitty blacksmithing currently, they can't recreate the enchantments used to make it fire, and they can't make the materials the gun uses (if they tried to make one and got everything else working somehow, it would be too powerful and would basically just explode in your hands if the materials are sub-par.)

2025-03-11 00:09:08 +0000 UTCAlso guns are probably a good idea at this point honestly, since it won't really do much to hurt *HIM* specifically. And it would be hard as shit for anyone else to make with primitive blacksmithing. Hell, if he makes them MODERN enough, or constructs them so that they basically have MASSIVE punch, don't use any gunpowder, and are full of small tiny parts. Then he can basically keep anyone from trying to make a gun from normal materials for at least a few centuries (And succeeding anyway) because even if they got their hands on a gun, and dismantled it, they would have no idea how it actually functioned.

2025-03-11 00:02:02 +0000 UTCHonestly this whole 'Oh we need to tie him to us' thing, is a non-issue. Because Owen can just say 'no' and what could they realistically do about it? Sure they can plot and scheme, but even if they call it treason, they still will rely on his good will for EVERYTHING they own if they want to have his innovations, his food, his magical weapons, his well made mundane armor, his automatons, his warships, his heating devices, his plumbing, etc. There is literally NOTHING they can do to him as far as I can see. They can talk big shit and get mad about it, but what can they realistically do about it?

2025-03-11 00:01:31 +0000 UTC💯tbh, just how much of an advantage does Tywin really think he has? The north hates the Lannisters, and only nominally respects the crown. Not only can Tywin not force the north to do anything, but They DEFINITELY don’t have a shot in hell of taking any longshore children. I say they just split off from the south after Robert gets poisoned by Cercei and become its own Kingdom again. Ned Stark’s loyalty to the crown can only be leveraged so far in controlling a Demigod and this campaign has probably used up the rest of his patience.

2025-03-10 16:52:30 +0000 UTCUrgh, guns. I don’t mind powerful projectile weapons. If you can make an arrow with the power of a nuke, all the better for you. My issue is how easy a firearm is to use. At least a bow needs training for some time to get proficient in. Making a gun will make mass slaughter way too simple and that can have devastating long term consequences. He is way too affected by deaths and mistakes that he will end up doing something he will definitely regret in the future… Unless, of course, he makes it all run on magic and thus impossible to copy. If he can do that then awesome; still an issue in how easy it is to train people to use but at least there won’t be a couple hundred thousand guns being made and used by everyone in the near future. Would be incredibly stupid to introduce the concept of gunpowder based firearms… Basically: guns suck, would suck a little less if only he has guns but they still suck.

2025-03-10 16:28:54 +0000 UTCI now declare Owen an honorary American. Time for the North to show a "proportional" retaliation strike and his Americanization will be complete
