ALL ACCESS - January Dynasty Rankings
Added 2024-01-16 23:10:57 +0000 UTCIt's been a couple weeks since my last rankings update - and this latest one is a big one.
I'm starting to add in 2024 draft prospects into my rankings for the first time. And this update includes rough value approximations for the consensus top 5 picks (Sarr, Topic, Risacher, Walter, and Williams).
I'll be adding in other top 10 prospects like Dillingham, Buzelis, Holland, and Sheppard in my next update - but you can see how I felt about them back in Big Board preview.
I'm going to try to be back with another update in the next 2-3 weeks. Also working on a larger Big Board update.

It’s lopsided for the short term but it’s even overall since the best years of Cade and Amen are still to come.

Team A Receives: Cade Cunningham, Amen Thompson, Onyeka Okongwu Team B Receives: Donovan Mitchell, Jaren Jackson Jr, 2024 1st (Likely top 6)

2024-01-30 04:00:27 +0000 UTCI was already way below consensus on him on my draft board and dynasty rankings and he was horrendous in the G League this year. This surgery is for a shin stress reaction on the opposite leg from the right foot issue he had two surgeries on last season but it’s not a positive sign, obviously. I was already out on him as an upside prospect so if you can “cash in” now (seems doubtful) then go for it.

2024-01-28 19:22:08 +0000 UTCMatt, what are you opinion about Whitehead after this new surgery? Is that related to previous problems? Is it time to cash in in dynasty while/if we still can? Drafted him with idea to be something like AJ Griffin but so far neither of them are having succesful career. Surely, both are only 19-20 almost until the new season.

2024-01-23 01:18:22 +0000 UTCBecause it’s unclear if he can maintain a large starting role going forward. Encouraging performances in the last week but the Magic have been willing to go with the hot hand at center and their defense benefits from having more rim protection than WCJ can offer next to Paolo. I would not be surprised to see WCJ traded this year and I think it’s unlikely he ends up in a 30+ minute role.
