2023-08-07 22:34:08 +0000 UTCI get that, but based on their discussion in the first reaction, it seems like Aaron's planning to do a more proper reaction with his kids that might even start at the very beginning of the anime (Eric emphasizes that it's going to be a huge journey). I'm guessing they needed something quick because of the strike, and Eric thought this would be a fun idea. Probably also helps that it only requires one of the main group at a time when they might have been stretched thin doing a ton of reactions.

The weight of seeing ash’s past pokemon, his relationships with them, and seeing side characters again just won’t be there. But whatever.
