Batwoman 1x12 - Poll!

Do you agree with Kate's decision? Should she have saved Beth or Alice?

Comments

I think she made the right choice saving Beth, and truthfully I wish it wouldn't have ended up switching at the end of the episode but I understand they want Alice to be the main villain for this season

Tucker Lobner

I believe that she should have chose to save Alice. Kate was the paragon of Courage and throughout the first half the season we have been watching her fight for Alice and believing in bring the Beth out of her. Alice is Her Beth that she grew up with. I was surprised that she would give all that up for Beth who is just another version of her sister. Yes it’s the sister she may have wanted but it’s not the sister she knew when she was a kid and fought so hard to find.

I thought Alice should have been saved, Beth was great and deserved to be saved, but I believe it would have been better to her as a hint of what Alice-a-Beth (sorry Aaron) could become.

Angus Whitehead

Even though Alice is evil, I was surprised Kate chose not to save her a second time. Beth was the better choice, but Alice would have been the "right" choice.

Dylan Carpenter

I was so mad when Beth died anyway, I even thought she would live since Mouse's dad could be villain for the rest of the season.

Kevin Bartelen

She chose correctly. But I'm glad that Alice was the one to survive and that she now has even more of a reason to hate Kate. She shouldn't be a "villain of the season" that's killed off and she shouldn't be redeemed or replaced by a "good beth". She's Batwoman's Joker and should be around for the long run. Even when she takes a step back from being main villain, she should be in Arkham where they can do some Batman/Joker type interrogation scenes and she can take on a Hannibal Lector role in the show. And when enough time has passed she can break out and become the main villain again, even more crazy and unhinged.

I'm just confused why Brainy or Winn didn't also experience these side effects as they also had doppelgangers after crisis. I hope they cover this plothole in one of the next few episodes of any of the shows

Nathan Armitage

It should've been Alice. Kate doesn't deserve the easy way out by just getting Beth back, Alice is her chance at Beth, she needs to take it, or accept that she's a lost cause and just end her already.

It isn't an issue of the fact that there's two of them in the same universe at the same time. Supergirl had the exact same thing happen with both Winn and Brainiac over the last 3 weeks, both of them are fine. This was something else. Also, there's no amount of medicine or science that can fix an issue, when the current "experts" don't actually know how the current physics of mulitversity work.

This had the best moment of the season so far when Alice was dying and Kate went to comfort her. I thought she was going to save Alice so that she could do for her sister what alt. Earth-Kate did for Beth. That said, I felt like saving Beth was the morally right thing since she was actually a good person, and Kate letting her sister die was emotional, but I just knew Beth was going to die anyway because there's no way they would kill off their main villain at this point in the season. If they don't die in the mid-season finale or the season finale itself, they're just not going to die, that's the rule.

Darth Skhorrn

She should of saved both, one call to team flash and a team of brilliant people with experience on multiverse issues, medicine and science would of been on the case

Ryan Shannon

She made the right call, but it doesn't fucking matter 🤬

I think it makes sense that Beth is the one she chose, found the scene with Alice and Kate really moving, and I like that Alice is still with us. I do think that at some point, Alice will actually die, and Beth will come back. I think it's possible that Beth is just in a coma, and that because Beth is more so in limbo than on Earth, it satisfies the balances or whatever, but when Alice eventually goes away, Beth will come back.... if that makes sense....

Save Beth definitely

Dip602

I think she absolutely made the right choice and it made that ending even more of a punch in the gut

I went with beth cause she is the sister kate wanted and mary really want as a sister look at all the bad stuff alice did. Kate tried to redeem alice many times but alice shown her true colors long time ago.

spencer

If Kate chose Alice she would have lost Mary for good I fear. I think she wants to keep Mary in her life because she feels guilty over ignoring her over the years. As a Mary fan I want Kate to strengthen her bond with Mary. Alice is too far gone and too dangerous to everyone around her.

If that raspy voiced jackass doesn’t die a slow and painful death (I don’t care who or how) I’m quitting the show. I saw this the night of the day I buried a pet, it was the worst possible ending.

Jon Mercano

The sisters together was sad but not saving the psycho was the right choice. She gave her a lot of chances alrrady.

Doby Greg

She definitely made the right decision although it must’ve been hard. This episode was insane and sad, the best episode of Batwoman in fact one of the best episodes of tv I’ve ever seen.

Joshua Krienke

Here we go, now we got the whole thing with my sister tried to "kill" me. Hell yeah she tried to "kill" you, what did you expect. R.I.P. Beth

Joel

Unpopular opinion probably, but I don’t think I could live with myself if I let Alice die twice. I would’ve saved Alice.
